I love this movie and all the extras were welcome. My only problem is that it's a wider box than the regular version.

If you have not watched this movie then you are missing one of the best movies available. I have watched this at least a dozen times and will continue to do so over and over again. You will get so involved with each individual character and what they stand for. I highly recommend this movie. I have purchased a copy of each serenity/FireFly that has become available.

I loved the Firefly series, but unfortunately it was cancelled. The Serenity movie is a must have if you were a Firefly fan!

Like the series, Firefly, this had action, adventure, comedy, and lots of heart! Would recommend to anyone. Great writing, great acting, believable story. This movie and series should have gotten a lot more play and recognition than it did. Both the series and movie build character.

This movie is literally one of the best sci-fi/western/fantasies you will ever see. It is a amalgation of all of those genres and more. This is what the Star Wars prequels should have been like. Nathan Fillion is the best scoundrel/nice guy since Han Solo, only 100 times better. The special edition is even better thanks to the DTS 5.1 track that will literally shake your house through a surround sound system. If you are looking for something that is thrilling, exciting and well-written and directed, check out this film. It is not required to see the Firefly TV show to understand this film (I actually saw this first) but it sure helps. If you like this, definatly check out Firefly. Best movie of 2005, easy.

I rented the original Serenity DVD on advice from a friend, and ended up watching it at least five times before returning it. I then discovered the TV series Firefly on which the movie is based, and bought the (unfortunately short-lived) series on DVD. Purchasing the special edition Serenity DVD was a must.
