Nice looking watch with excellent functionality....if it worked! Never able to set itself via satellite and after about 3 mos. it started constantly resetting to the year 1/1/05! Also, be aware that the crystal scratches very easily.

For the price, this is an exceptional value and it is mostly living up to my expectations. While the quality of the watch mechanism and ease of operation is excellent, the overall quality of the band and case are less than optimal; however, for the price, it is very good.

Great if you need accurate time

This is a really cool piece of technology. For years I have had to reset my watch once per week because I demand to have perfect timekeeping for various reasons to include observing passing satellites in orbit. This watch ensures that I am never more than a second off of the official time. I did replace the clasp band with a metal band before I even left the store, but that is a matter of personal preference.

I had this watch for about six months and then it went dead. Replacing battery did not help. While it worked it worked well, but I would not recommend this watch, because while it worked flawlessly for about six months it just died all of a sudden, apparently this is a known issue with this model.

Watch has easy setup instructions. It receives signals and callibrates time every day. Perhaps the clasp on the band could be improved, I'm concerned the plastic won't last too long. Overall it's a great watch.

I would suggest a flex band for this watch. The band is difficult to strap on and uncomfortable because it is so stiff. The watch itself is very impressive and looks expensive even though it was a very reasonable price. A good value.

I have returned one of these to Walmart. The first one performed, as expected, for two months.
Little droplets of water then appeared inside the dial face. The watch failed that day.

I love atomic watches. In the past 8 years I've bought two from Walmart ... both of them Casio watches. The first one worked great for about 5 years. Then the strap failed ... that is, it separated from the watch. And being made of some composite that's sort of welded (maybe melted onto) the watch, there's no way of getting a replacement strap. When the strap goes, the watch goes. Actually, the watch is in my desk drawer. It now reads Saturday, 4/21 (of 2012). The time is 2:58:33. If you need a watch that you plan to keep in your desk drawer, this would be a perfect watch.
To replace my Casio with the failed strap, I went to the Walmart website and bought another Casio atomic watch. That was 3 years ago. I didn't really like it as well as the first Casio because it had a lot of bells and whistles that I really didn't need .... such as the time in 24 countries around the world. And it didn't switch from standard time to DST as quickly as the first one. But, like all atomic watches, it kept perfect time (and date). But this week the numerals started disappearing, sort of like the Cheshire cat, little by lttle. Thus, at the moment, as I look at the face of the watch, I can't tell what time it is, nor what month or day it is. It shows just a few little pieces of numerals. I took it to a jewelry store figuring it just needed a new battery. The store manager put in a new battery. Still just pieces of numerals, same as with the old battery. He gave it back to me (with the old battery back in place). He said: "Throw it away." He said the circuit was probably faulty.
Two Casio atomic watches, both short lived. Would I get another? No. But I certainly hope that Walmart will buy a different brand of atomic watches ... hopefully a brand that permits installing a new strap if the original one breaks or frays.
That's my 2 cents. If you buy a Casio, just be sure that you know you won't have it for the long haul.

After I reread the instructions, I finally got it to DST. I bought this watch as a replacement for another one that is very sinmular. I feel that it is a great value. The only thing that I cannot understand is that it cost less to get a new watch than to have the battery replaced in the old one. This does not make sense.

This watch is awesome! I own this watch for work. I work for a tire shop and i toss tires around and even the big tractor rear tires. So this watch does get a beating. It has held up good. Then when time changes it changes for me if i forget. Always updating by the second at 2am in morning so its on exact time to the second. I've replaced band but that watch keeps on going. As long as this watch is availible for purchase i will own it. They offer metal band watch from casio also and i am going to get that for non-work use. I would say go with this one or metal band either way this watch wont let u down. GET IT BEFORE THEY DECIDE TO DISCONTINUE IT!!!

I was not at all happy w/ this watch. After 6 months the display went out. I took the watch to my local WalMart thinking the battery may have been bad. WalMart replaced the battery, but the display would still not function. I sent the watch back to Casio, who informed me that nothing could be done. The warranty had been voided when I had the battery replaced. Needless to say I am done w/ Casio. I am appealing to Casio, but do not expect a favorable reply after speaking w/ their customer service team.
