As soon as I opened the box I thought I was not going to be able to see anything on that tiny screen but afterall it's not that bad. Only downside is that, although it's the smallest of all GPS systems, it does not fit in the smallest case....

I bought this unit because I am bad at directions, and my boyfriend takes me to the country on the weekends. I was afraid that I had to plug it into my computer and download a bunch of software for it, but I just took it out of the box, plugged it in my car, and it was ready to go. Even though I didn't type in a particular address when I first went for a drive, it showed exactly where I was on the screen. In addition, the GPS unit guided us to the house in country which is in the middle of no-where!

I came from a GPS where you had to load maps up from your computer. Now I don't have to do that anymore.

We haven't made any big trips with our Nuvi yet, but just playing with it around our hometown has been fun. It is spot on with the directions, and very useful if looking for a new restaurant or place to go shopping! I'm looking forward to our vacation!

I found the 3.5" screen to be very good at providing your position and approaching streets. The response is quick compared to a cell phone navigating system. The only expectation it does not meet is it appears to under estimate your arrival time. If you need a unit to call out the street names, you will have to upgrade to the next GPS unit ( the nuvi 200 does display the street name across the top). I feel the unit provides great value and performace for the price.

I think this is a great product for the person on the go. All things being equal there is no place you couldn't find with this product.
I have experiance trouble finding address to new development but this is understandable.
My only gripe is from time to time it took an excessive amount of time to find all of the required satelites.
Other then that I love it.

The unit gives very clear directions . As a coach, it is very helpful in locating soccer fields. It compares very well with the directions from mapquest.

We recently had to go out of town for a 3 day baseball tournament. Some of the roads we had to go on were either blocked by traffic or were under repair and closed. We simply turned down another road and our Garmin (nickednamed Lucy!) quickly showed us another way. Great job!

This is a fun product, but don't leave home with out a road map. It works best if you know exactly where your going. I played with it going to work. It tells me I'm there about 5 miles before I get there. When I'm close it wants to send me in the oppisite direction. I toured 1600 miles with it. It was accurate about 80%. Sometimes in an around about way. Totaly lost twice. It was very good on finding resturants.

This does everything that I wanted it to do. I just wanted something simple and not to expensive to get me around. I do believe that the mounting is better then the tom tom because I have not have my unit fall out where as my sisters tom tom falls out quite frequently. I use it to go everywhere even if I know where I am going just to see how it will get me there. I like the features that it has such as the speedometer and points of interest. For the money you can't beat it. It is also handy for phone numbers to businesses that you want to look up without going into the phone book.
