Garmin nuvi 650 Portable GPS with Text-to-speech

This is my first GPS system and I found it extremely easy to use. It's light weight and small enough to fit into my purse. The volume is loud enought that I can hear the directions even with the radio on. It gives you a heads up on where to exit or turn so you have enought time to get into the correct lane. I would highly recommend this GPS to all my family and friends.

Easy to use, even announces street names. Very accurate within 10 feet of destination or where you need to turn. You can even change your display car and color!

I bought this for my husband as a gift and he loves it and doesnt leave home without it!

Before buying the Garman Nuvi 650 GPS I conducted a through review of consumer ratings and customer feedback comments. I found the product to be very user friendly and it meets our expectations at a good price. The unit comes with an attachable suction cup to connect it to the windshield for easy viewing. We did find the suction cup to be a bit temperamental but it does work fine after a few try’s. This unit has spoken street names and is another reason why we bought it and this works fine. You can clearly understand what the GPS is saying although I have the volume at 100% and you can’t have the windows down or music going otherwise you might not be able to hear the soft female voice. If you need the volume louder you can get an external speaker adapter. If you live in California or Minnesota there is a state law that prohibits attaching the GPS to the front windshield. These are the only two states that have this law. We found that it is more convenient to purchase the optional Garman non slip bean bag base for the unit. This way you can position it anywhere on the dashboard and when you leave the car just put the whole assembly and unit in your glove box until next time. With the non slip bean bag base, there is no set up when you are ready to use the unit again. Using the suction cup provided with the unit needs to be taken down and repositioned each time otherwise you will alert others that you have some kind of electronic unit in your car. Overall good product for the price.

I am very happy with the Garmin 650. I have used it go a lot of different places, including shopping and eating places. It has done a great job with directions. It's a good idea to play around with it at home before putting it into your car, which makes it easier to use. I would recommend this product. It is fun to use!!

Easy to use, easy to set up, can get updated maps by going to the Garmin website once for free. Great GPS unit. Bummer that you can't attach to the windshield in California though.

Just as advertised. Easy to use. Ocassional trouble finding sat. in downtown buildings.

I have only used it 1 time and it saved me about 10 miles but it did use some 2nd class roads. I usually go another way for shopping etc. and mostly dual highways. Future trips may be better.

I absolutely love this GPS! The directions are so precise, I don't have to look at the screen at all, just listen. Unlike some units that give vague directions "turn left in 200 ft", this Garmin tells you the street name to turn on and also the direction AFTER that turn so you can get into the proper lane right after you turn. It's so easy to use and very FAST to get directions up. I was looking for a store and not sure which exit of three to take. I turned it on shortly before the first exit and had my directions quickly enough that I didn't miss the first exit, which was the one I needed. I would highly recommend this system!
