This bag is a little taller and a little thicker, but a little thinner than a normal messenger bag.It has a handle for carrying like a messenger bag and also a strap to sling it on your shoulder like a messenger. Hidden in two compartments in the back are straps that allow you to wear it like a back pack. If you think you would be wanting to carry a bag in both "backpack" and "messenger bag" modes, then this is the bag for you. But as just a backpack or just a messenger bag you would probably want a bag that is dedicated to that single function.

Bought this to use backpack-style when riding my motorcycle or electric bike to work - then to convert to "regular" briefcase once there. Has worked out great. I have the black one and no one at work (I work in hospitals) even mentioned it looked any different than a regular soft briefcase. Plenty of pockets – good material has worn well so far. Looking at web pics, thought I’d put a water bottle in one of the two side pockets, but they are really small - fits my PDA or headset well – but only a small 8oz water bottle. However, plenty of room inside for a 1L water bottle, lunch, documents and lots more. Idea looked great and price was good so gave it a try – would definitely buy another one.

very versitile so many pockets and in the right place two pocket on either side to carry water or my video camera. can use as a single shoulder strap or a back pack. inside was big enough to carry what you want and still be easy to carry.

Walmart.com offers this product at half the price from the manufacturer as well as another major online specialized retail store. The selling point for me was being able to convert from a backpack to a messenger and with very little effort. This bag/backpack is good for everyday use, business use, or as a laptop carrier as it's not too big or too small. Overall, it's good quality, durable, and you can't go wrong at this price.
