Simply shake it to jump to the next song. You can listen on the supplied headphones or the built-in speaker. The 512MB memory holds up to 125 songs that are four minutes long and recorded at 128 Kbps. Colorful controller bands let you move forward or backward through your songs and adjust the volume.

I can only get it to play 2 songs, even though I have it loaded with about 70 songs. If were to work right, it would be perfect. I have an IPOD that does not keep a charge, so I go this one to use for walking this winter to lose baby weight but this doesn't work well enough.

i bought this for my 2 year old daughter that absolutely loves music (so that way i could have my ipod back) she loves this mp3 player it is the perfect size for her hands. we love that you dont have to have head phones to listen to the music. she takes it on walks bike rides and jogs. the speaker is not extremly loud so she takes it in the car also it holds more than enough music for her. i would highly recommend it. i actually bought another one for a back up dont know what we would do if something were to happen to it. the price was also great! it does not change songs when you shake it, but i like it better that way because she likes to dance around with it. it is also very easy to load music.

I recently purchased this MP3 player for my daughter's 7th birthday. She has begged for her own "Ipod" forever. After reading several reviews I decided on this player because others talked about its durability. This player has such a unique older look, not babyish (very important to a seven year old). Either my four or seven year old walk around constantly playing it. It has been dropped numerous times. Love the AAA batteries not having to hook up to recharge. Loaded with kidbop music.

The design and idea of overall kid use was an awesome concept.....it's just too bad I couldn't download my daughters music onto it. I tried every format available, including MP3 and WAV, nothing worked. 2 days post birthday party we went to the local wal-mart and exchanged it for another brand.

I bought this product for my 7 year old and she LOVED it. It never did change songs when it was shaken but that was fine considering she likes to dance. It was very straight forward when it came to uploading songs and using the product. To be honest, I am just looking for a reason to confiscate it from my little one so I can use it for myself. hehe jk

i bought this for my 5 year old daughter for x-mas and she loves it. i think it's great as you can plug 2 sets of head phones, so my son can listen too or you don't need head phones at all. my daughter gets a lot of use out of this player and i have had no problems with it. it's not very expensive and it's easy for her to use so i think it was money well spent.

I'm kind of torn on this product. I bought it for my 5 year old niece. Let me just write a list of pros and cons for you. Pros: Perfect fit for little hands, great color, love the fact that it has two headset ports, love that it has a speaker on top. Comes with a few nursery rhyme songs. Comes with SD card, Headset, and 1 AAA battery. Cons: Shaking this product does not always change the song. Actually, I'd say about 1 out of 15 shakes finally will change the song. When you shake it too much the bottom comes off exposing SD card and AAA battery. The headset this comes with is just ridiculous, If I can't fit the ear plugs into my ears how are they supposed to fit into a child's ear?
If you do buy this product I recommend that you buy a new headset.

My son got a blue one for Christmas and it has been terrific. It says not for children under 8, but he is 4 and is doing wonderfully with it. My 3 year old daughter wanted one, so I took a chance on the pink one for her. They are durable, easy for them to use and they enjoy carrying them around all over the place. I would recommend these for parents who have children that want an affordable MP3 player.

My daughter loved to listen to music with this mp3 player. She's 4 and it was easy for her to use and she didn't have to wear headphones. But we got it at Christmas and it quit working the other day! Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I thought it would last longer than that! I probably am going to buy another, but hopefully it will work a little longer!

I bought the Sansa Shaker for my daughter who is 7 for Christmas. I had it shipped right to my house which was great. However, when she shook it, it didn't skip to the next song like it suppose to, which really wasn't a big deal. However, about 3 weeks later it started making a loud screeching noise. I would have to take out the battery to get it to shut off. At first I thought it was the batteries I was using so I went to the store and bought Lithium batteries. The Sansa Shaker worked for about another 2-3 day and it made that horrible sound again. So I replaced the batteries, not thinking anything was wrong because my daughter was using it non-stop. About a week of changing the batteries every 2-3 days it stopped working all together.

This is great for both my daughter (6yrs old) and myself. Was very easy to use and figure out. Love that it comes with everything you need to have so you don't have to buy anything extra. The external speaker is great because I use it when I walk and then I can hear what is going on around me (car coming, dog coming) and still listen to the music, which is not as easy if you are wearing headphones.

I gave the SansaShaker to both of my girls for Christmas (ages 4 & 6). I had a little problem downloading music but that was my own fault for not reading the directions! The girls love their shakers-we are continually adding songs! The batteries last longer if you don't use the speaker. The headphones that came with the shaker hurt their ears so we used others that we had. I think this is an excellent product for a small child. The cost is great and I find it extremely easy to add music. I bought it when the price was 36.99 so at the reduced cost, its a steal! They are used every weekend and occasionally during the week.
