I would recommend this product. I found the case that is optional really is a must. The first one my grandson had he dropped and it cracked.So I bought the case which comes with an adapter so he doesn't have to charge it on the computor.The case and adapter was less than $10.00.

I bought this for my daughter, we let it charge the 3 hours just as the instructions state, but the thing would not turn on! Even after letting it charge all night it STILL would not turn on. Dont waist your time or money on this one! This peice of junk is going back to the store!!

I had read all the other reviews but bought this anyways because it was cheap. Well the battery life is really only 7 hours not 15, and it shuffles your music auttomaticaly. But thank God Walmart takes them back for 15 days because the screen went out on day 12. Please save your money.

My son saved his entire allowance to buy this product and within 2 weeks it stopped working. It wouldn't allow you to download music anymore even if you wiped it clean. RCA/OPAL has now support for this and if you look on the internet for help you will find PAGES of the same type complaints....simply DO NOT BUY THIS MP3 PLAYER!!!!!

it battery goes dead way to fast and it takes to long to charge but its a good product for a first mp3 player cause its easy to use but this my 6th mp3 player im no so happy with it ps.if you just brought yours dont press down to hard on the skip button it'll start to rub off!!!

I've had this thing for at least six months and am now so fed up with it i'm hunting a new device. Everything gets listed wrong. Nothing is ever in order no matter how many times or in what order you place the tracks or rename it. This is the worst mp3 player i have ever owned.

I read all the reviews and thought this to be a good choice for my teenage daughter. I bought this MP3 player for her birthday. Only 2 days after giving it to her it would no longer load, or charge. I downloaded all upgrades and nothing worked. I went back and got another to find out that this one only lasted 1 day. Here I thought I did my homework and found out that it was a poor choice.

this was the greatest mp3 i had ever had. the sound was great, and it was really light. it was easy to download songs, and the batterey lasts for up to 15 hours wich is good. plus it holds 680 songs! the price was my favorite part. for a $40 mp3 it was great!

Very good overall. Video converter does not work with Dital movie copies, but does for other video files. The headphones were disapointing, I immediatly replaced them with a pair of sony headphones. Also for best audio, max out the equilizer under sound settings. Remember that this only a $50 mp3 player and you shouldn't be disapointed

I have the same problems as many other buyers have in purchasing the RCA OPAL MP3 Player. It does not respond to my or anyother computer today and 2 weeks later. It worked for awhile on my brother's computer but no longer works now. It reallllllllly stop working when I tried to delete songs from it. ........you pay for what you get is correct. Sorry I brought it. I am going to purchase a ZUNE instead.

This is an easy to use audio player with a very readable display, good menu structure, good organization of songs. Very lightweight with a long battery life and a large memory. It integrates will with Windows Media Player for loading songs. The user controls are logical and easy to operate. Backlight can be programmed for 20, 30, or 60 seconds before it goes off for battery saving in the audio mode. I have bought two of these so far, one as a gift, and I may buy another!
