I own the entire Elephant and Piggie series by Mo Willems and my son and I read them a minimum of once a week. These are fun books that are easy to read. Add your own personality and chane your voice to create a character for your child and you will have fun with these books. We even make sounds like... huh when we see a question mark when Gerald or Piggie are thinking about something. I would highly recommend this book or any of these books for young readers. My son doesn't get tired of reading them and has fun reading as Piggie or Gerald (the elephant).

Review 2 for There Is a Bird on Your Head!

LOVE Mo Willems!!! All of Mr. Willems series' (knuffle bunny, pigeon, and piggie & elephant) have helped my 8yr old autistic son with his reading. He was never a fan of Dr. Seuss and it wasn't until we came across Mo Willems did his interest in reading really take off. Plus, not only are the character's facial expressions absolutely hilarious, they aide my son in recognizing expression and the meaning behind it - something the autistic community struggles to understand. Thank you Mr. Willems to help foster my son's confidence in his reading and in himself!!! This is a repeat review, however this book in particular is our FAVORITE!!!

We have only recently discovered the author Mo Willems and his great characters and books, but were a little put off with the price until we found his books at WalMart! The prices are great and the books are fun and easy for kids to repeat the sounds and recognize characters and words. We bought site to store saving on shipping!

Just bought this for our beginning-Kindergartener grandson. He will enjoy having it read to him, and it will be one of the first books he learns to read this year!

This was a gift for my nephew. He is 5 years old and has not started reading in school yet. They are still learning sounds & words. As I was reading the book to him, I found a fairly easy sentence & asked him if he wanted to try. He took it over from there & read the rest of the book! It was large writing and easy sentences, and the story was pretty cute too!
