I bought this for my young grandson for his birthday. His mother has many of his favorite songs on her old IPOD, and wanted him to be able to play them when he wanted without trying to use headphones. This is perfect because it also runs on batteries. Also, it's well padded to protect it from a little abuse it might take from a young child. The sound is good, and the size is just right.

this is pretty awesome. i wanted a boombox so i could listen to tunes while riding my bike, and that's what i got. the only thing is it periodicially cuts out if you set the volume too high, which doesn't make sense to me (why have the volume be able to go up that high if you're not gonna let me actually play it at that volume?) but otherwise i'm very satisfied with this purchase.
