Does not work!, 04/03/2008
By Yolis, Phoenix, AZ
Overall Rating: 1 out of 5 1 out of 5

I bought this last year and I have had so many problems. First of all it does not take in the paper and sometimes it gets jammed. Then the ink goes really fast and i haven't used it a lot just about 5 times and I have no ink. Its horrible!

Review 3 for Canon PIXMA iP1800 Special Edition Photo Printer

Good inexpensive printer, 03/24/2008
By LoriKM, New York
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

I've been pleased with this printer up to now over a couple weeks. The original color cartridge did run out quicker then I expected but there were a lot of printed color photos being made and many 8x10's.
I would recommend this product if you're looking for a good quality printer that is inexpensive. If you plan to print a lot of photos, I'd order an added color cartridge too.
Thank you.

Great Printer., 03/22/2008

Had a really difficult time getting this installed, but once I got past that, everything went swimmingly. The quality rivals that of my laser printer for text, and the images come out flawlessly.
This $40 printer replaced my old $500 printer. Better quality, faster printing.
Good job, Canon.

Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I bought this printer over the cheaper HP and Lexmark models one reason being that BOTH color and black ink cartridges came with the printer as opposed to the other HP and Lexmark models they just came with color ink no black.
I have NEVER seen a printer this low priced print photos like this one!! They look professional!! And it prints like one page every 3 seconds!!! Will buy more canon products in the future!

Not what I expected, 02/07/2008
By usingit, Illinois
Overall Rating: 1 out of 5 1 out of 5

I thought it was great when I first got it. Then 6 months later it quit taking in paper. They sent a "reconditioned one". Two months later that one is doing the same thing. They are sending another one and I was told dust could cause the problem. I have only had it two months and it is in a shelf. I have had other copiers that lasted years with no problem. I thought cannon was better than this. I will never buy another. I should have stuck with HP

I was so wonderfuly surprised to see the quality of my pictures!!! For the price, why should I buy a more expensive model? I can do pictures up to an 8x11 size!!! Now I can print as I need them, and print as many as I need at my own convenience without having to go to the store!!

Excellent Choice & Product For The Price, 01/27/2008
By Silverfanci1, Jacksboro, Tn.
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

I recieved a Canon Digital Camera for Christmas and was pleased with it. I ordered the Canon PIXMA iP1800 and was really surprised @ the quality of the pictures that it printed. They were excellent with superior quality and as well as what I could have had developed retail. I would recommend this product to anyone. I was surprised @ the number of pictures that it has printed so far without having to replenish the ink.

Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

Bought printer for Canon name and price of printer. Prints are really nice and printer setup and use are both really easy. I turn it off after every use ( as it recommends to do) so my ink seemed to last fairly long. My only real disapointment is my store before Christmas had a ton of ink for it, now the photo mgr. says they wont carry it anymore :( Have to get it online. Printer for me is a good value for the money I spent.

Gets the job done, 12/17/2007
By Rumplestiltskin, Marietta, GA
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

Had an IP3000 that I had problems with after a couple of years of using "compatible" ink, and really needed to print some pics to send out in Christmas cards. Still wanting to resurrect the IP3000 (because of CD/DVD printing), I didn't want to spend much, so I jumped on this inexpensive model. It's a lot slower than the 3000, but the quality of photo prints is very nice, and was exactly what I needed given the circumstances.

Review 15 for Canon PIXMA iP1800 Special Edition Photo Printer

Excellent Photo Quality, 12/09/2007
By NewPhotographer, La, CA
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 4 out of 5

I recently bought this photo printer because I love canon products. When I took it home I was very happy with the way it looked, black, sleek, and small enough to sit on any table. I have just now for the first time printed out 22 color, 4x6, photos, and I am already low on colored ink. So I've rated this printer only 4 stars, -1 star because the ink runs out very fast. Nevertheless, the quality of the photos that come out are amazing!!! It's just like having your own personal photo lab at home. Plus the price is very very affordable.

Incredible Printer, Affordable Price, 11/03/2007
By Philips231, South Dakota
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

This printer is super fast, quiet, prints superior pictures and is overall great. My one complaint though is ink. My local Walmart does not have many ink cartridges available and I cant seem to fine the 40 series inks online. Ink seems a little more expensive than other printers and ink doesn't seem to last very long.

Good Little Printer, 10/28/2007
By Codiwolf
Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 5 out of 5

This Cannon Pixma iP1800 printer is a good little printer, stylish, small enough to put on any narrow shelf, good quality print, and you can set up each documtne printing for two sided (a lot of printers don't do that), and fast printing.
I am disappointed in the small amount of ink in cartridges. One has to replace them often if you do any amount of printing.
