My son loves trains, so I got him this one last year for Christmas. He was 2 at the time so I had a hard time spending that much on a toy, but it was definitely worth it. He kept it put together for about 6 months in his room, then I finally put it in a big bag for storage and he still gets it out at least 1 or 2 times a week. I'm going to get him the airport this year! I was very pleased with how durable the toy is and I'm glad the batteries are triple A's and last a long time in this toy so I'm not spending a lot on replacements. Watch for it to go on sale if it seems too expensive, but it's definitely worth every penny!

My 2 and 4 year old boys LOVE this. Seems pretty strudy and was simple to put together. They play with it for hours which is a great thing! Looks like Santa will be bringing a bunch more GeoTrax to add to this set.

We bought this for our then 3 year old for Christmas last year and he plays with it as much as he did a year ago. He loves to build a train set using all the pieces and then tearing it apart and redoing it. His imagination has even had him using blocks to build tunnels and bridges. We have expanded alot over the past year and can't wait to buy the plane this year for Christmas.
The pieces fit easily together so the kids can easily build it on their own. The trains take 3 AAA batteries and last a good while in between changes. It is by far his favorite toy and we love getting creative with it.

A friend with 4 boys told me about these after I spent a lot of money on the Thomas knock-offs at Toys R Us. These are wonderful. They stay together even on carpet and DON"T BREAK!. Trust me, my kids would have broken them by now. I recommend buying a big set with the remote control cars. Those seem to be a better value. My son also loves the elevation tracks.

I bought this for my grandson's 4th birthday. It was his favorite present. The track goes together and STAYS together quite easily. The train is a little slow but he doesn't seem to care and loves operating the remote control. Can't wait to add to this system.

I bought other railroad tracks (Thomas and wooden tracks) but nothing compares to this track set. My friend told me from the begining to buy Geo Trax...I wish I would have listened..it would have saved me alot of money!!

I bought this as a christmas gift for my 2yo daughter because she loves trains. For about a month after christmas, anyone that came through the door had to go play trains with her. We had asked family members to buy additional pieces so she started with a fairly large set, but we just keep adding to it-we can't get enough of it! She likes to walk the track behind the train, so they are very sturdy. The pieces go together easily enough that at 2.5 years old she is able to put her own track configurations together. We've been so impressed with it we're looking at getting the set for my nephews as birthday gifts.

My son, 2 1/2, got this as a gift and loves it. He doesn't set it up himself yet but it is simple to put together. He can do the remote himself and loves that. It is a bit bulky to store. Great toy though!

My 2 1/2 year old son received this train set for Christmas. The engine stopped working after about 1/2 hour of use on Christmas morning, and this was almost a VERY NEGATIVE review, but I called Fisher Price's customer service line, and got great service from them - I was so pleased! They walked me through a few simple steps to try to fix the problem (replacing the batteries, cleaning the battery contacts, resetting the remote piece), and when those didn't work, they took down my address and they are shipping me a new engine - no hassle, no questions asked. We went out and bought him an extra remote control train so he can play it in the meantime - we were planning to buy a lot of the accessory sets anyway, so it wasn't really an extra expense.
He is FASCINATED with it! It's simple and sturdy enough for him to play with by himself, but fun enough that he will be playing with it for years to come (my husband plays with it after my son is in bed!)
