Tramontina 8-Piece 18/10 Stainless Steel TriPly-Clad Cookware Set

My wife and I bought this set about 2 years ago now. Since then we have added the 12" jumbo cooker, a 3qt, 4qt, sauce pan, a 12qt stock pot and a 12" saute pan. and most recently just added the 12" casserole. We love these pans. They are truely top quality and just as good as All-clad if not better. When I measured with a micrometer all Tramontina pans and pots were of equal thickness to all-clad. Our freinds have recently bought a starter set of all-clad and they swear by it. But they spent four times what my wife and I did. and they don't even have all the pots and pans we do. They look great evey once in a while you will want to pull out the polish and clean them up a litte but after two years of continuous use they still look great. handles are not loose at all and they heat very evenly and thoughly. Take the manufactures advice heat with low to medium heat. No more is required. Hi heat will make food stick to them. But they heat so well and quick you don't have to add more than medium heat.

Make this your next set of pots and pans to buy, you won't regret it. It's wonderful to cook with. I'm so glad I got it. It's also easy to clean. With a lifetime warrenty you'll this is one of the best purchases I ever made.

Great pricing for highly recommended (Cook's Illustrated) cookware. There are higher priced cookware items, but these are hard to beat.

It's beautiful, can brown onions and not the pan,oatmeal doesn't burn(unless left on forever)and the price is unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and buy this product. enjoy!

The Tramontina cookware is proving to be very good. I'm completely satisfied with the way it cooks - I'm using lower temps to get better results than with previous cookware. My only complaints are that the sizes of the pieces in this set aren't the best choices. Would like the dutch oven to have been at least 6 quarts, and would have preferred 3 & 4 quart sauce pans as opposed to what came with the set. My only other complaint is that the handle is so narrow & the pans are so heavy that they are hard to pour from - especially for older hands. :( Could have used a rubberized handle or wider handle for better grip. Overall, though, I love my new cookware.

I too purchased this set based on the glowing CI review. If I had only known sooner what a difference tri-ply cookware made!

The pieces are substantial, and heat evenly and well--I've never had to use more than medium heat. I cook on gas.

The pieces may be small, but that works well for a small household, plus Walmart has other sizes in open stock to supplement.

My only complaint, as others have noted, is that the lids don't fit the skillets. My wish is for a 2-ish quart pan with steamer, like the AC at WS.

Who knew that better quality pots and pans could make a difference in cooking. I am very pleased with the quality of these pans and the quality of the meals that emerge from them. As advertised, they have an all over even heat, no hot spots to burn food. I would liked to have the lid for the largest pot be a tighter fit on the large skillet, but that is my only complaint. Also, the lids become very hot and one must be careful when lifting the lid, because the tight fit, which is good for cooking but allows a lot of steam to leave the pot when the lid is lifted. This pot and pan set was rated very highly by Cook's Illustrated Magazine (a best buy) who found them to be as good as the much more expensive set used by professionals. Their one caution was that the pans were smaller than the first rated set, but I have not found this to be a problem. This set would make a great wedding gift. Wish I had them when I was just starting out over 40 years ago.

Wow! I always thought I needed non-stick, but I've used it to make scrambled eggs and saute peppers and onion ,two things that always give me lots of problems. You do have to let the eggs set before moving them in the pan. The onions and peppers did not stick at all. Clean up was as easy as non-stick. I did use some baking soda to get the last of the brown stains off the pan, but it looked like new when I was done and it took very little scrubbing(unlike my non-stick). I had calphalon but I like this 10 times more. I'm getting rid of all my old stuff except for the 8 qt. stock pot, because I use it very rarely and don't want to spend the money to get a new one. I also will purchase a 12in skillet and a 3 quart sauce pan. All you people afraid of stainless steel, like me, go ahead buy this. You wont be sorry.

I am thrilled with the quality of this product! I would recommend this to any serious cook like myself who needs a good set to have for every day use.
