Dyson DC21 All Floors Canister Vacuum

I cannot believe the suction on this machine. Our rugs look great and my kitty has stopped his hacking cough since we got the Dyson. I figure if it helped his allergy it has to be good for my asthma/allergies.
I purchased the little turbo head for doing small spaces/steps and if you buy the canister, it's imperative you get this piece too. The steps have never been so clean and fluffy.
I do have to admit that it is a bit heavy and somewhat cumbersome to maneuveur but I'm hoping I'll get used to it.
Emptying the cup is a snap -- it's just unvelievable tho how much stuff it picks up. Wish I had it when we first got the carpting.
And I like how it looks -- I feel as if R2D2 is following me around.

This canister vac lives up to all they hype. We have multiple pets and the canister enables us to vacuum wood floors and carpet with ease.
The handle allows us to get under beds, chairs and the couch as the upright would not. Highly recommended.

Used this canister vac on carpet and bare floors and it really did a great job. It has great suction, and is very easy to assemble and use. I will probably buy an up-right Dyson in the future, to go along with this canister.

What I like about this product:
1. The brush will stop when object (i.e. cloth) is sucked in. This seems a simple feature but it tells me that whoever designed this model has a "brain" and knows what he is doing. The brush can also be disassembled easily; another smart design that soon will be copied by other vendors.
2. No bag. It means no money spend on bags. I saw a video demo on consumer report to show dust flying around when they clean up the canister. Point made with their over exaggerated demo but it should be considered as a demo of "not to" clean your canister with such a force. It can be clean up easily without such unnecessary force.

3. It really clean up good as it supposed to.

It is always a joy when you use a product that is designed with consumer in mind not just some "Lab scientist" in their controlled environment.

The vacuum is wonderful. It is very lightweight, easily moved around, great for steps. It maneuvers easily on all floor types. I was amazed how much more this vacuum picks up compared to my old. I had just vacuumed when it came in the mail. I had to try it out and was amazed how much more I got by just cleaning one rug. After I saw what all my old vacuum wasn't picking up I had to redo the whole house. My only complaint about this vacuum is I wish the canister could hold more than it does. The attachments are great. All but the hardwood attachment fit on the vacuum! Even though I think it is too expensive I do feel it is worth the money.
