This is an excellent game for any type of person. The controls are easy, fun to play, campaign and playing online are great!! It's an exciting game for anyone and Skate 2 just came out. AN AMAZING GAME!!

Skate is without a doubt the most frustrating game i have ever played! If you like skateboarding games like the ones in the Tony Hawk series you will probably hate this game, you can not get off you're board at all and because of that you'll end up riding out of the skating area so it will start you back where you where before because you can not go up a set of four steps to get back to the rail you need to grid to finish the activitie/mini-game you have tried to beat 20 or 30 times already with no luck. One of the many reasons why this game if so frustrating is the insane difficulty of some of the tricks like for example to do a Rocket Air in a half-pipe on the Tony Hawk games all you have to do is hold down the A button to accelerate then let go of the A button at the top of the half-pipe to jump and then finally push left and the B button... to do a Rocket Air in a half-pipe on Skate you have to line the character up with the half-pipe then push up on the left stick to push up the half-pipe faster then push down on the right stick and hold it to prepare for the jump then near the top of the half-pipe quickly snap the right stick up to jump then hold down both the left and right triggers and then finally push down on the right stick then quickly snap it up to do the trick "but" sometimes it does not do the trick you just dialed in because the controls are very unresponsive on some the the bigger tricks... even a simple trick like a Kick Flip will only work 8 out of 10 trys which can make playing the activities/mini-games likes Photo Challenges and S.K.A.T.E. very frustrating to play because you have to do the exact trick they tell you to do. As for the achievements they can be extremely hard to get because of again the unresponsive controls... out of all the people on my friends list (last time i looked) that have played Skate non of them have over 100 points out of a 1000, i got 120 points before i gave up because the achievements just stopped unlocking for no reason (i did not use any cheats and i was connected to Xbox Live) and after doing what online walkthroughs and guides said to do to get the achievements and them still not unlocking i just put the game back in the mailbox (it was a rental) because with so many great games out right now i do not want to wast any more of my time on a game with this many problems and glitches. I am sure that some people may disagree but in my opinion the game Skate is not even worth renting.

This game can get very stressfull, you tend to get stuck on parts "alot". Sometimes it just becomes totally rediculoaus i can never get passed some parts of the game. I have had this game for about 8 months now and i am still only half way done with the game. I just give up on it and come back to it later on and find that i still cant get any farther in the game. Im not saying it is a completly horrible game the story mode is fun but can be stressfull, the freeplay is very fun though.

Best skateboarding game i ever played. The flik it controls are pretty fun once you get the hang of it. Tony Haws is pretty good but Skate in MY opinion is better. The goals in skate are a little harder and it is much more realistic. This is an awsome game and a must buy.

My 13 year old grandson absolutely loved this game and spent all of his time playing it after Christmas. I myself don't know anything about video games but he's an expert and says the game is one of the best he's ever played!

This game is very fun. I love to play it. THe flikit system is hard to get used to. But it is way fun once you do it is the best skating game ever. Tony hawks proving ground is also awsome check that one out to.

I highly recomend this game
it is most definitly the best skate boarding game ive ever played
physics are amazing
graphics are wonderful
and the way you do tricks can be a tad bit confusing at first but when you get the hang of it
it is very cool
i highly highly recomend this game for your collection
it is well worth the 60 bucks if your into skating games

The tony hawk games are cool because they add an unrealistic spin to them that makes them fun. This game shouldn't really compared to them because the are on 2 different plains. There isn't sperate levels with different sometimes abstract themes, but rather a city map with different locales, kind of like a GTA map. The game interaction is awesome because you actually have to flick the thumbstick in the actual way you would do each trick. the only things i don't like is that there is no off-board controls and you don't have control over the camera view. Overall though, I think if they keep producing these games and add impovements, The tony hawk series will definitly become a thing of the past.
