I purchased these chairs / stools for two reasons . One was to have in the kitchen to be able to sit by the cooking island , and the other was to use as a chair / bench at my piano . I use them for either / or and they look great , are adjustable , and were easy to put together .

Good value for the money. Doesn't matter that they are backless - tough to push down on though. Must pretty much push with entire body at first to get chair down after it is adjusted up. Looks nice.

I have only had the set for a little over a week, so far they are great. Very simple to put together, I didn't get the smell other reviews refered to. No problems at all. Would like a bit more cushion but for the price not going to complain. I actually decided two were not enough for the kitchen counter so I ordered another set.

The ease of installation was great, instant chair, I read that someone said if you are over 180 lbs then it does not take the weight, I disagree, I love the height adjustment and the fact that I can put my feet on the floor or foot rest with ease. It handles my weight great, This is the perfect chair for our high bar and lower table if extra chair space is needed.

Overall good chairs for the price. I did have to take the 1st set back b/c the base was scratched when it arrived. 2nd set seemed to be much better. The material they use is very tough and durable, but does put off a rather distinct smell. Obviously it doesn't smell like leather. But for the price, you could take these to an upholstery shop and have them covered w/ real leather. Overall they function great.

After reading the reviews I was worried that the stools would look cheap but actually the stools took 20 minutes to put together and surprisingly they add a nice modern touch to my loft. Bottom line the price is right and they don't look cheap so I recommend product!!!

The adjustable stool is very easy to assemble. Only need to attach the seat to the support with 4 bolts by hex wrench included, no other tools needed. Looks great on my island counter.
Easy to move on wood flooring. I ordered another set because I need 4 for my L-shaped counter.

Beautiful, but poor quality

This stools look amazing, I was so exited when they arrived, and with all the good reviews, I was expecting a great product. They were easy to assemble. The first one was perfect. The second one never worked. The piston was stuck, and it remained in the same position, never moved... so it made it useless for a bar if you can't adjust the height. I guess it can happen to anyone, I am a reasonable person, mistakes happen, maybe I was the unlucky one who got the only defective product from that batch, who knows... Anyway, I was thinking to order them again, hoping it was an honest mistake and this time I would get the "good" ones.
I waited for a couple of days to return them. Double checked to make sure it wasn't my mistake during assembly. Sat on the stool 2 or 3 times, and.... this was the deal breaker for me... the fake leather started to tear (I am 5' 2" and 120 lb)
I don't want to replace my furniture every few months! I expect it to last!
