I purchased this product especially for college. I am not the most computer literate person, but this laptop was wonderful as far as helping me along with installation, security, and usage of systems and software that can be hassle to those who aren't familiar. The built in wireless connection is great!! I can get wireless anywhere that has Wi-Fi, without the incovenience of a notebook adapter...and the total advisor system notifies me of my PC health and status...Highly Recommended!!

I had a Dell laptop prior to purchasing this one and figured that it would be cheaper for me to purchase another one rather than upgrade the other one (with Vista, memory, graphics card, etc.). For what I use the computer for, this was an excellent purchase with some really nice additional features, like the built-in camera. The one thing that I want to caution potential purchasers of this item about is the built-in camera. I had instances where the camera would not be detected, and hence could not be used. I searched on the Internet and found plenty of people that were having the same issue, and not just with this particular laptop. I contacted HP support online and the support person gave me a series of steps to try and resolve the problem. I haven't had any problems with the camera since then, so it appears that everything is ok. So, if you have purchase this or any other HP laptop that has a built-in camera and start having problems with it, HP support should be able to assist you.

Pros: 1. excellent touch pad and scroll feature. 2. superb sound and picture quality for a laptop. 3. lightweight and smooth finish. 4. HP Quickplay console very convienent, love the precision volume control.
Cons: Only drawback is the low battery life, about 2:20 hr.
Overall, I love it. I give it a 9.5 out of 10.
