This is the best safe you can buy for the price tag. I shopped and compared for about 2 weeks and nothing matches this safe for value, safety and roominess. The only drawback is this safe cannot be bolted to the floor. It has bolts but they are for mounting to a table or countertop, not the floor. The keypad can be a bit tricky unless you follow the instructions. Overall, I would recommend this as an efficient and economical safe.

I purchased this safe about 2 months ago and its great. I used to have a sentry (also great) for about 10 years but gave it to a family member. This safe is big and it holds a lot. To open the safe you need to enter a 4-8 number code and turn your key. It bolts easily to the floor. The only issue is the top plastic tray. I think it should have been made of metal like the middle shelf, rather than plastic not that there is anything wqrong with the plastic. I recieved this item view UPS 2 days earlier than Walmart expected delivery date. It took 3 UPS employees to lift this item up 3 flights of stairs.

Fantastic deal on a very good safe. Considering the closest competitors price is nearly twice that of this one, it's a great bargain. Heck, you can buy two! I have one of the other safes as well, as it's construction may be a little better, it simply isn't worth twice the cost. Do yourself a favor and make the purchase if you are deliberating between the two.

I did alot of research before I purchased this safe. I can not believe Walmart can sell it so cheap. I bought during a week where Walmart was offereing 1 cent shipping. Got the safe, very heavy duty. Very easy to program. Override key works perfect. Set up was very simple. Now just need to find a place so I don't have to move it too many times. Unit weights 144 lbs.

This product is such a good buy. I had help when I picked the safe up at the store because it was heavy. You may need help to lift from shopping cart to car and additional help to transport from car to the house. This safe has ample storage capacity, no problem fitting in those large 8x11 envelopes. The tray at the top is deep enough to hold bank check size boxes (example). Plenty of room for all your important papers, stored in one place, and quick and easy to find.

The safe was packaged wonderfully and had no knicks or dents. The digital key pad was easy and I had no problems setting up the code. All 3 keys (2 access keys and 1 override key) worked properly. The drawer is plastic and the shelf is metal but both are a bit flimsy. I would say the safe meets all expectations, especially for the price.

The safe is great. It delivered all the expectation. The one caution I would bring forth is that this is not a "watertight" safe. The website indicates this, but the manufacturer specs that came with it says nothing about it being watertight, or waterproof. It did not appear to have any watertight insulation - just steel against steel. It is still a good value for the money and we are happy with it.

The product was shipped defective. The digital lock does not work, I replaced the batteries twice with no luck. I was also disappointed with the metal shavings and other debris in the safe when I received my shipment. I expect a product to be in good working order and to be clean when received. I paid a little bit more for the brand name (Honeywell) but can't honestly say I would recommend the product due to my complaints. Beyond those two disappointments, the safe appears to be built pretty well. I would be completely satisfied if Honeywell or WalMart would have checked the product prior to shipping to me and corrected the 2 issues. This situation is completely avoidable.

Great Value for the $300. You do need key and code to open safe. After being robbed of $500 worth of old silver coins. I should of bought this safe earlier. small enough to fit in closet. Yet heavy enough that some one will not be able to pick it up and carry it off.
