Within 10 minutes of using this pump, the plastic hose fitting broke off.
We were able to get the inside piece out and we went to the hardware store and purchased
for $7.00 an metal hose fitting!!!!

purchased, used it to drain water off pool cover. ran it one day for about 2 hours. unplugged it. Next day plugged it in and nothing. It was dead. Returned for refund

Ordered 10-2-10 and half the price it is now 3-10-12. This pump made it almost 2 winters and you know they get light use in cool weather. We have had in-ground for 30 years and sadly this is about average.

This is a good item and would recommend to anyone with a pool cover. We use this to get water off the pool cover after a rain, etc. Wal-mart has fast shipping. Very pleased with item.

This is my first pool cover pump and it works great. It started pumping water as soon as I plugged it in. This one is rated better than the more expensive ones that I checked into. It is well worth buying.

Title says it all. I had to tape the broken pump together but it works great. Apparently WalMart is sending a replacement but I have not received it. Very poor packaging allowed pump to bounce around in route and pieces were broken off. But it pumps like heck, even with Gorilla tape.

We had about 6" of water on top of the winter cover on our 18' pool and it took about nine hours to get most of it pumped off. So it was a bit slower than expected, but Walmart's price is the lowest online and it did work, so I'm satisfied.

Based on the reviews I bought this item-the price was GREAT. BUT, that is all that's good about it really. The pump trickled water off of the cover and barely made a dent in removing a significant amount after being on all day. Had to go back to using the shop vac until I get another pump.

Hooked it up today and it worked for about 10 minutes out of the box and then dribble, dribble thereafter. Nothing blocking the inlet either and submerged in water as it should be. Don't waste your money because you will likely be disappointed. Have to go look for one that is not a toy.
