This EXTRA TALL Dream Baby gate will fit openings from 28" - 42.5" using the two included extensions (includes 1 x 3.5" and 1 x 7.0"). It can expand up to 53" using optional extensions sold separately. It is suitable for doorways, top and bottom of stairs and wide doorways or hallways. The gate opens in either direction and swings closed automatically. Great for climbing toddlers and large pets!

We read all the reviews for this gate and bought it with hopes that it would keep our two year old in her room at night. It is a great gate. VERY sturdy and looks fantastic . Even though most reviews said the kids couldn't climb it (and I didn't see how they could) our daughter was able to climb over it in the first 2 minutes of us putting it up. I would still highly recommend this if you don't have a climber!

THis is great. Fits well in my 38 inch door way with the additional large extention piece included. It has cups that install to the wall where the pressure mount pieces go which holds it in place very well. ( month old daughter stands and shakes on the gate and it doesn't budge.

I own 3 of these baby gates. I purchased them to use for my dogs and they are tall enough where my lab mix cannot jump over them.
I really like how they auto-close for certain locations in my house, but for bedrooms and hallways that don't need to stay closed at all times, I found that a bungee cord works well to keep it open.
I would definitely recommend these baby gates!

This is a great product is keep both my large dog and my cat where I want them, it is sturdy and stays in place even without scewing it into a wall we really like it. Its worth the cost. PS It is VERY tall, but easy to open both ways.

This gate is easy to set up, sturdy, and looks good. We needed a high gate to keep our Border Collie (a HIGH jumper) from having access to the entire house (meaning "our beds") while we are not home. We also needed something that he wouldn't eat (seriously). We did not want to have to screw anything into the walls (although that is an option with this gate, we didn't need to do that). Having the door open in either direction is nice. It would be great if it came with something to keep it hooked open when you want it open, since it stays in place all the time. We just use a wire. All in all, we are very satisfied with this gate.

i have three dogs (ranging in weight from 25-50 pounds) and this gate has been a life saver. i used to have one of those cheap plastic gates but the dogs could knock it down. this one is very durable and the perfect height. it also looks much better than the plastic ones. the only drawback is with the added height, i can't just step over it like the old gate, so it does get a little old having to open and close the latch everytime. other than that i would recommend this to any dog owner!

my son has pulled and pushed on the gate and it seems fine. It takes a little getting used to opening but a child will definately not be able to open it. We put it on the door to the office so my 2yr old son can see us when we are in there and he can't get into the no-no room

We purchased this extra tall baby gate only 3 weeks after adopting a new cat. We wanted to take our new kitty out of his "safe room", but still keep him separate from our resident cat. This gate worked beautifully for this purpose.
We placed the gate at the top of our stairs to the 2nd floor. When we attempted to place it at the bottom of the stairwell, the kitty jumped right over - but the extra height on the top of the stairs solved this issue. Installing the gate helped the 2 cats meet at the gate, but maintain their separate, safe areas in the introduction process. Because this model has a double-swing door, we simple opened the gate as we entered/exited the 2nd floor.
The bars are narrow enough that the cats cannot go through the gate. The great thing about the vertical bars are that the cats could not climb the gate. (This happened with the first gate we purchased from a competitor with a criss-cross pattern.)
We did have 1 incident where the new cat jumped over the gate. That was a night when we had friends over & their baby started crying loudly. I think this scared the new cat & he got "super power" to jump the fence in his "fight or flight" mode of escaping from the loud cries of the baby.
The 2 cats are now successfully intermingled & sharing space, but we have decided to keep the gate up. This will allow us to place our kitties upstairs whenever we have company so they are not stressed out by visitors.
I love this gate so much that I just purchased a 2nd one which I am giving to a friend as a baby gift. My friend also has kitties & I'm sure she will find this gate as useful as we do (or more so) for use with her baby & kitties.

This gate works well. It is tall and sturdy. Our daughter pulls to standing on it and it does not budge. It is difficult for a child to open but not for an adult who knows the trick. (Our 11 year old neighbor could not figure out how to open it until we showed him). It is tall enough that even if our daughter figured out how to open it, I do not think she would be able to reach the button until she is at least 4-5 years old. That many others report, the only downside is there is no way to keep the gate open, which makes it difficult to transport large objects from room to room because you need a third hand to open the gate. Istallation is tricky depending on the size of your openeing. Our opening is just large enough that we had to use one of the extensions, but then the circles that keep the feet in place did not fit well. It took a lot of time to correctly install for this reason. However, overall, it is great and works well.

When installing the gate we had problems getting it to align correctly so it would close automatically. After looking through the manual, reinstalling a few times and researching on the internet, we came to the conclusion that either the gate was not made correctly or our floor is not level. Either way, the gate does not close on its own but my husband likes it this way because then he will know that the gate is closed and not just assume.

I purchased this gate to help train my dog. I "thought" it would be secure enough to hold him even though it does not screw into the wall. I was wrong. This gate was no match for a dog. I can't imagine it would hold a child back for very long either. I was also disappointed with the latching system. It was awkward and difficult to use. I have seen and used other gates just as tall but with a much better locking mechanism. I can't say I would recommend this gate.

I would highly recommend this gate. I have a Home Daycare and just love this gate. It was very easy to install. It is very durable and solid. I did not have to attach it to the wall, just the pressure keeps its in its place. It is very easy to use , especially when caring a small child. I am going to get another one soon!

This child gate is the best I've purchased so far. It's tall enough to keep our cats out of the nursery and will be great to keep our child safe as well. The gates are very easy to install and operate, even one handed (which is nice in the middle of the night when you're holding a crying baby in one arm!). They are constructed of a heavy metal material - much sturdier than other gates - and the finish is a smooth gloss black. They fit in well with our decor and look very clean.
If you have children and need a good, sturdy gate, this is the one. Or, if you have pets who need to stay out of certain areas of the house, this gate will do the trick as well. Great product!!

This is a great product and was east to install,is pretty sturdy as well. The only problem I faced that the base of the wall where I installed is not flat but has a beading on it,I somehow managed to squeeze it on the beading. Otherwise no issues at all.

This is the tallest gate I could find that seemed like it could handle my two big dogs and my 2 year old. It is sturdy and I love that the gate closes on its own. It is also very easy to remove if you need to. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind spending a few extra dollars for a nice gate that will stand to it's expectations. We have had it for almost a year now and never had any problems. I bought a different gate for the bottom of my staircase and I hate it (my daughter can climb over it which defeats the purpose entirely), I regret wasting the money on it and now I am going to get another one of these.

We purchased this gate to put at the entry way to the stairs in our basement so that our cockapoo would not be able to get up the stairs. We bought another gate first and it was not tall enough and he jumped right over it. This one is taller and it secures to the wall very well. We did not need to drill holes into the wall and it would take A LOT of force to move it. We have great luck so far. Our daughter will be born in December and we plan to purchase similar gates for other parts of the house!

I bought this gate to confine my dogs when people came over. It worked great, and my little dog couldn't get over the top of this one as she had other gates. I thought the quality was excellent. The only thing I didn't like so much was that the top latch mechanism seems 'light weight' for such a sturdy gate, although I've never had a problem with it not holding the gate closed. Did I mention that my daughter has a 150 lb Bull Mastiff, and it keeps him contained also? Overall, very satisfied with this product.
