This EXTRA TALL Dream Baby gate will fit openings from 28" - 42.5" using the two included extensions (includes 1 x 3.5" and 1 x 7.0"). It can expand up to 53" using optional extensions sold separately. It is suitable for doorways, top and bottom of stairs and wide doorways or hallways. The gate opens in either direction and swings closed automatically. Great for climbing toddlers and large pets!

We use this gate every day to keep our 7 mo. old great dane in the mud room when we have to leave him alone or until we can get his feet wiped to have run of the house. He is 130 lbs and has jumped on the gate it does not move. It is easy to open with one hand. Easy to remove to clean around. And I am ordering a second one for at the office.

We bought 2 of these baby gates after reading the reviews. I am completely satisfied and sooo glad we purchased them. My very tall, 1 1/2 yr old was climbing over our old gate. The extra tall feature is what attracted me to buy them. The gates have stayed in place just as if they were bolted to the wall. My 6 year old can open these just fine. I recommend these to anyone who doesn't want to put holes in their walls and want it to look nice too.

I have two Jack Russell Terriers and one is a jumper so I needed a high gate to keep her in the kitchen while I'm at work. The gate being black was a bonus because there is wrought iron in my dining room so it matches nicely. The only problem I do have is that it is an automatically closing gate so we just hooked a bungie cord to it to keep it open when the dogs aren't being locked up. The other thing is it isn't as easy to open as it should be. The mechanism sticks a little bit. Otherwise - great investmen!

After my two year old figured out how to unlock the standard sized baby gate and two gates stacked on top of each other didn't work, I decided to invest in this gate. I'm so glad I did! Set up was a breeze and it works wonderfully. Because doesn't have footholds he can't climb up it and potentially get hurt. I like that it swings shut after you walk through it. The height is great for those of us who have kids that are on the tall side. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with very active/resourceful children.

The bottom of our stairs has a portion of projecting baluster on both sides. A gate was needed without mountings because of the nice oak balustrade. This gate with pressure mounting works great and was easy to setup. At first I thought the gate got bent in shipping but is actually shaped that way on purpose so that the pressure screws bend the gate in and keep it secure. Our bottom balusters are big with lots of detail. The pressure mounts don't fit flush on the top part of gate because the baluster has a flat part and then curves inward. The upper lip of the pressure screw still holds secure with only about half of it touching the baluster. I'm very pleased and I like the swing shut gate. Now that I know how it works and the quality I will order another for the upstairs. The black color looks elegant against our oak house trim.

I have 6 different gates in my house and this one is my favorite. It was expensive but worth it. I have it at the top of my stairs and it very sturdy. My children are age five to newborn and none of them can get over it or knock it down. If I had the money I would replace all my gates with this one.

I Love this gate!!! It is very easy to set up. I have a 23month old and a 10 month old. I used to have the small $11 dollar gates on the bottom of the stairs but my 23 month old daughter figured out how to climb it and eventually broke it from pulling on it. It was really hard to find a gate for my stairs because they have round spindles on them, but at the top of the first spindle there is a square part (as shown in my pic), so I needed a gate that would be high enough to reach that flat surface. THe opening of my stairs is exactly 41" and this gate fits perfect for this length using BOTH the provided extensions. I used the pressure mount because I did not want to make holes in my wall or stairs and it is still very sturdy. I am very very happy with this gate. I am thinking about getting the shorter version for the top of my stairs as this one is too tall for that purpose.

This took us 5 minutes to set up, and ready to use for the puppy. Don't know if it's durable or not yet, but, it won't leave any marks on my wall - all based on tension. So much better than all the pet store gates

I recently added an adult cat to my current family of 2 dogs. I really thought that they would all get along as one happy family - NOT! This gate has been a life saver for my cat. I installed the gate (all by myself) - and I am not very handy around the house. I left enough space under the gate for the cat to go under when she is brave enough to venture out. The gate is high enough to keep the dogs, which are large dogs, safely away from the cat. I also love the ease of the open/shut mechanism of the gate. I am very happy with this product. In fact, some friends that recently visited said they were going to order two of them for their home.

We purchased two of these gates to keep baby in the kitchen area. The installation was not easy, but the finished product gives you a gate that closes automatically behind you. I'm also glad I purchased the extra tall version, since it will prevent baby attempting to climb over it as he grows taller. It would be nice to have some sort of option to hold it open, for instance when carrying groceries in, or if you want to leave it open with baby is asleep. We have to tie it open which means another hole in the wall. The other down side is that there is a threshold you have to step over when you open the gate. But all these are minor things you can get used to. Overall I am very pleased with how these gates look and how they keep the baby safe.

Over all good value for the price. Works great at keeping the toddlers upstairs and the dogs down - even our chow doesn't try to jump over it. This gate was very easy to install. I would definitely buy this again if I need to, and the only issue I have is that the wall protection and non skid pads came loose after the first week. But if they don't tear they can be super glued back on. This also comes with permanant screw in non skid cups if you want to risk damge to your wall.

I ordered this for my Doberman to keep him in the kitchen during the day. He has not gotten through it or over it. The gate doesn't harm my wood door frame - no tape or screws are required for installation. The gate itself swings easily and when opening it, it has even stumped some of my adult friends. This means no child would be able to open it. I am exteremely happy with this purchase.

I picked this one by reading other reviews. I'd by another one of the same if I needed to. It was pretty easy to set up. If I had to give a couple complaints they are: you have to lift the gate wtih a little strengh to open it. I'm afraid after awhile doing so might damage it. Also I was looking for one that didn't have a bar crossing the bottom. I have a daughter who has a handicap and I'm afraid she is going to get her foot caught going over it. All and all I am very satisfied.
