This sturdy, swing-close baby gate will fit openings from 28" - 39" using the two included extensions (includes 2 x 3.5" extensions). With the help of the optional extensions available for purchase separately, this doorway baby gate can be expanded up to 53", making it suitable for almost all gaps and openings. This pressure mounted baby gate can be used for doorways, top and bottom of stairs and wide doorways or hallways. It opens in both directions and swings itself close automatically on its hinges. This doorway baby gate has an easy one-hand operation for parents. You can even use it to retain pets.

We purchased this product because the description said it was ideal for top or bottom of stairs. When we opened the box, there was a warning within the instructions and on the gate itself to not install at the top of stairs. I do not have any knowledge of durability, set-up, or features for this review as we returned the product for a gate made for the top of stairs. But if I can prevent someone the hassle of ordering and returning a product, I thought it would be worth doing a review.

Easy to put together. It was exactly what I wanted to keep my puppy from going places where he should not go. I bought two. They fit snug into the doorways and they hay not come loose. I can open the door easily with one hand.

It looks nice but the design is poor. Once you get the gate tight up against the wall, you cannot open it without it falling off the wall. My husband is an engineer and just thinks the design is poor.

This product was difficult to assemble and install. The locking mechanism was very difficult to operate by an adult. I returned this product to WalMart and replaced it with an Evenflo gate which was perfect in every respect.

I love this gate. It works great to keep my active 10 month old away from the front door and also for our german shephard from walking through the house when he is wet and muddy. I did show my 7 and 3 1/2 year olds how to work it because it is blocking the entry to the front door and I don't have it up for them. My 3 1/2 year old can open it but is difficult for him. If I didn't show him and help him learn to use it then he wouldn't be able to do it. It was pretty easy to install (then again I'm good at stuff like that). We have an older house and nothing here is even but I was able to install the gate perfect. (we use this gate several times a day) I have had many complements on how nice it looks and works. I would definitly recommend this gate.

Great gate. Haven't used it with child but use it for dogs and animals. Only complaint is I wish there was a way to leave it open for when we aren't trying to block anyone out.

When I first got it, I didn't think it would fit our 36" doorway. But it did. I've had it up for a couple weeks, and I love it. Install was easy. I had to uninstall a week into use due to a dryer that needed replaced- but reinstall was easy. Visitors have figured out how to open it with little to no problem. I wish we would have just gotten a nice gate like this sooner and saved all the hassle of climbing over and constantly dickin' with the cheap pressure gate.

The gate was supper easy to install, we have it at the top of our stairs. It's secure but we don't let our daughter hang on it. The opening is small & is sometimes hard to get thru when you have stuff in your hands. Overall supper satisfied & would order again.

Perfect gate for families with toddlers

I purchased this gate to keep my running, climbing, tumbling, rough nearly 2yo son from getting into my kitchen and messing with the oven, dishwasher, etc. I ordered 2 gates, which arrived early; picked up via site-to-store to avoid shipping costs. This gate is solid; I got the black ones, which worked well for my kitchen...looks great! I did not want to drill holes into the walls or baseboards, so I pressure-mounted both gates, including one with extensions (ordered separately) spanning a >55inch area. I used handi-tak to protect the walls & for additional stability (in place of sticky pads provided), which was excellent. My tough kid jumps onto the gate, hangs off, shakes, pushes...everything he can think of, but the gate won't budge. And there's no way he'll be able to open the door - requires one to lift the gate door slightly while pulling back on the latch. He's upset, but it's for his protection & my sanity. Overall, I'm a very pleased mama!

I love this gate! Previously I just had some cheap plastic ones, one of which broke, and prompted me to buy this one. I love that it's metal, nice and sturdy. Easy open and close. Easy installation. The only thing I don't like about it, even though I don't see how it could have been designed differently, is the metal bar that goes along the bottom of the gate - so you have to step over this bar while going through the door. Otherwise, I give this gate and A+!

My child is very strong, so I had to find a gate that could withstand the abuse. This gate is extremely sturdy whether you use the sticky circles or the nails. It is easy to put together and has the directions on paper and dvd. very sturdy construction and also elegant. Easy to open in both directions and closes behind you easily in both directions.

We ordered this gate for our 9 month old son. My husband was impressed with gate quality and it was pretty easy to put together. Our son uses this gate to stand up. He shakes it quite a bit, but when mounted to the wall gate is nice and sturdy. The only thing I wish it was a little taller. I'm 5.7 and with baby in arms, it's not too comfortable to lean over and open the gate. Otherwise, we are quite happy with this product, most likely will get one for basement stairs too.

I order two gates, and were very impressed with the look and sturdiness . Also there were easy to install once I got the first one up. I didn't have to screw them in the walls ( but is a option) I am using them as dog gates, so far so good. I have to say the speediness of delivery was awesome , it only took 2-3 days after ordering. Price on these is Great.

When I received this gate it was missing all hardware and mounts. I called the manufacturer on the paperwork on four separate occassions trying to get the replacement parts. They didn't return my call several times, one time they gave me an email to send the info in to, that didn't work either. The last time I called and finally got someone to answer after spending 10 minutes on the phone with her giving her my info and the exact gate she tells me I now need to email her a proof of purchase! WTH! Why would I need the mounting and hardware if I didn't own the gate! I ended up hanging up and decided to return the gate. It was way too much work for a gate that shouldve came with the proper parts to begin with. But since they practically beg you on the box and paperwork "not to return it to the store" I though I'd give them the benefit of doubt and let them make it right, but they just didn't come through. I ended up returning to Walmart for a full refund and I will try another gate!
