My husband and I had our heart set on this product because his grandparents actually have the same one. Everytime we housesit for them, we find ourselves really missing that grill. So, we found it here on walmart and even after reading the mixed reviews, we decided to buy it. Charbroil must have changed the way they make them! The only real complaint is that it is wobbly which makes it difficult to clean. I would still recommend it because the size is perfect for a patio or apartment and it cooks beautifully! I would just suggest getting better screws and stuff to make it more sturdy.

Have this grill in Florida and bought one for our cottage in New York. Cooking time is 1/2 that of larger grills. Propane tank last 2-3 times longer than that of the tank on the larger two-burner grills. Took 1 hr to put together. Love it! Good for cooking for 6 people, larger groups would have to cook in shifts.

I've had this Caddie Grill less than a week and love it . I have never had the want to use a grill as much as this in a long time . I got rid of a larger grill before this one cause of age and worn out . This Caddie Grill gives me the urge to want to use it all most every day . Don't let the size full you .There is plenty of room to cook for 4 people of more . This grill cooks fast and food doesn't seem to burn easily . Assembly of the grill was easy if you follow the directions properly .All the screws and nuts are placed neatly on a blister card . I assembled mine on a deck so i placed down cardboard so they wouldn't fall through the slots on deck . The grease cup supplied with the Grill makes a good screw holder while assembling the grill . This grill holds the standard 20 Pound grill tanks . If you are thinking of getting this Caddie Grill GET IT, you wont be sorry .

I own 2 of these grills works great for a small family or couple . I added Mesquite flavored lava rocks in bottom of grill . I place a small aluminum pouch filled with soaked /drained wood chips with holes in top of foil on top of cooking grate smokes and cooks Great! ...My wife turns it on high to warm up and then low and puts on a frozen pizza in a Aluminum pizza pan and it makes a great pizza... people are amazed ! A fun Grill ... Great Value !

We've had many grills over the years, but this has been the best. Assembly was easy, it works great and takes up very little space. Heats to 500° in about 5 min., sears steaks nicely, and low temperature grilling is excellent. We cook on it 3-4 nights a week, year round. Steaks/chops/fish/chicken/ribs/corn, everything. Nothing has failed in 2+years. A tank lasts 3-4 months.
Low maintenance. The heat plate needs scraping occasionally, and other clean-up is easy. Porcelain coated grill is still like new. A little rust beginning to show on chips around the body & top.
2 minor issues: A. Original instructions said place ceramic briquettes in bottom, but they absorb grease and become useless. Customer service recommended eliminating them - no apparent performance difference.
B. The aluminum grease cup corroded through and dribbled under the grill. Replaced it with a tin can - free - no more leaks.
Want a small grill that performs well? Thiis is the one!

This takes 2 persons to assemble. 2 of the 3, 2 inch screws were not long enough, so I had to purchase the correct length at a hardware store. The ignitor is hard to install, and am still unable to light the Char-Broil grill yet.

There's nothing bad to report here! Easy to assemble (I'm a single gal whose most complicated assembly would normally be matching shoes and my bag), heats up HOT (over 700 degrees, if yours doesn't you put it together wrong!) and YES, you CAN buy a cover for it (check online, they are everywhere and cheap). I just cooked a steak on it, took 10 minutes tops, cooked evenly and perfect. Pop the grill off to wash, wipe down the inside, empty the grease cup and you're done.

The Char-broil Patio grill is compact and efficient! I use this grill year round and it always brings the heat. The size allows it to fit on a small back porch and its design is sleek and portable. I have purchased my second grill because the first just plain worn out. Ten years of cooking almost every night and WOW did it hold up. The cost was exactly what I paid for it ten years ago. You can't go wrong, you will get it right If you buy this grill it's BBQ tonight!

Overall, a good value. The grill doesn't retain the heat as well as I expected. it does take longer to cook a burger and steaks are a bit of a challenge. The cooking area is small but I expected that. Because of the small cooking area I did expect it to heat up fast & retain high temperatures. For simple grilling only and for small families. If that is all you need this grill fits the bill perfectly. Clean up is easy also. A perfect size for a small area.
