I previously had 2 other machines that did not do the job like this one. I like the feature that the head swirls to get into corners nicely. I do have a large house and the dirt cup does fill up fast, but it does t he job.

It does well on hardwood floors and some tile. I have a textured tile and have to set it on the carpet setting for it to suck things out of the grout. Don't expect it to get anything big or big messes. Does okay on carpet, but again, not great. This is just for the fast clean-up of crumbs and such. Do like how the handle folds. It keeps a charge very well (so far). It did already get clogged with dog hair and I had to take the head off to clear it. It must happen often enough, because there is a button for removing the head. My biggest 2 problems with it is its lack of ability to suck things up close to walls and lack of enough suction. It is very maneuverable. I love that it is cordless! Overall, I would buy it again, but don't purchase this little vacuum to be your main, more powerful vacuum cleaner.

I bought this primarily to pick up cat/dog hair and bits of leaves tracked in. It works very well for a cordless vacuum. Great for doing a quick once over before company comes over. I use it on wood laminate, tile, and area rugs. I would definitely buy another one.

Good lil vacuum. I live in a 1 bedroom apt with all hardwood floors. I feel like this does the trick for my general light housekeeping. I don't have kids or pets so not too much is required of it. It stores away easily. Lasts as long as I need it to and picks up everything. Doesn't work quite as well on my throw rugs when I try to vacuum them but it's pretty cheap so I didn't expect it to do an amazing job on the rugs. Good product.

This is a neat, attractive, easy to use, battery-operated vacuum cleaner. It's great for small areas, fits easily into small spaces. Very easy to change from carpet to floors & back. Love that the handle folds down, sits on the charger and holds a good charge. The only thing I don't like is the high 'whistle' when it's running. BUT, it's worth it!

Very compact and sleek. This little machine picks up everything, including stubborn dog hair, dirt, and dust. I love how it swivels almost 360' and bends down flat to get under the couch. It has a lot of power and the dirt cup is easy to empty. It is my answer to keeping up with a house that has mostly all hard flooring. The only negatives are that it does start to loose its power/charge before I'm done with all of the floors and the dirt cup gets filled rather quickly. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this product!

I read tons of reviews on this and similar items before I decided to buy. I am so glad I purchased this vac! It works way better than expected.
I have a Rottweiler that sheds more than most long haired dogs! The hair was everywhere and it was so hard to keep my wood floors clean! I was sweeping everyday and really hurting my back and the hair just immediately came back...
I have been using this vac every other day since I received it and the amount of hair has really decreased...I guess sucking it up is more effective than sweeping it around!
The vac is so light and easy to use. I have approximately 1600 sq feet of wood and tile floors and I have had no problem with the vac holding a charge. I just keep it on the charging base. I do have to empty the canister after every use because of the dog hair accumulation, otherwise the suction will weaken. No big deal!
It works amazingly on wood and tile. It picks up dead bugs, hair, grass, food, dirt, you name it. However, it is not useful for carpets. I tried it on carpet and it didn't do much.
This was the best $50 I have ever spent. It has really made my life a whole lot easier!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. because it is so light, I don't feel that there is a risk of it scratching my wood floors, which was a huge concern of mine.

It's exactly what I was looking for. It pretty powerful for the size. The feature I like most is the fact that it's rechargable; there's no long cord to drag around & wrap up when you're done. I have a Red Setter housedog & it's wonderful for picking up her hair from the carpet & tile floors. Thank you for a great product. Also thanks to the other reviewers as they helped with my decision to buy it.

Love this cordless vac. I have lots of tile floors and it works great on them. Works very well on carpet, too. However--the batteries are not replaceable, which means that when they no longer hold a charge, you must throw away the whole unit! What a waste of resources. I wish Dirt Devil would address and correct this issue.

I heard most of these rechargeable vacumes are junk. So I researched reviews before buying this one. Most of the negative reviews were from people with a house full of animals. I mean lets be realistic here. I charged mine for two days, even though it recommends only one. I vacumed my kitchen, living room, hallway, and two bathrooms, Including mats and an area rug. It took me 28 minutes and this thing was still going strong! It worked great! You can get a half hour out of it on bare floors. Perfect for getting under tables etc. You can lay the handle down 90 degrees and maintain suction on the floor. Good manuverability. Not the best in corners or real tight spaces, but what is? I used mine on bare floors. I'll still use my regular vacume in carpeted bedrooms. I'm sure that would kill the battery quicker too. The canister and filter removes easily. I love the recharge base. Just set it in there when your done and its always ready to go! This little thing worked great for me. It exceeded my expectations............

this product has more than met my expectations. picks up pet hair/litter for 2 cats and 2 dogs. even though i have issues with arthritis, i find this lightweight and easy to use. so much more convenient than pulling out a heavy vacuum daily. holds a charge for the under 1000 sq. ft. i have to clean. cordless convenience is great!

Great product, especially since I have a one year old and dogs that leave little messes everywhere. Also great for getting up hair in bathroom. The only feature I wish it had was a detachable hand unit as some other models have. Before I didn't want to take out my bulky vacuum on a day to day basis; now I have no problem using the Dirt Devil to quickly touch up areas through the week. It has made my life a lot better.

This little sweeper was all everyone said it was & much more. I had read all the posted reviews & was imoressed. I live in a handicapped/elderly apt. complex where the carpeting is a very low nap to facilitate the use of a wheelchair. I tried the stick vacuum on my vinyl floors & was impressed with the power it had. Noting that the reviews cautioned that the sweeper would not be good for regular carpeting I decided to give it a try on my low-nap caroeting. It worked GREAT. So now, instead of dragging out my full size sweeper which wore me out to use, I now use the Dirt Devil exclusively. Instead of spending a couple hours trying to maneuver the dinosour from the closet, around furniture, tripping over the cord, & on days that I must use my oxygen tripping over all the hoses & cords. It so so simple to lift out of it's charger base and get to work. It is so light that it does not cause me any concern with my heart. The dirt cup is a very adequate size and easlily emptied. The power is terrific, all the controls are very accessable. I didn't find it noiseier than a regular vacuum. It is very good looking, well built,far exceeds my expectations and you get a lot of bang for your buck. It actually seems as if it was designed with someone like me in mind.

I use to own Electrolux this beats it hands down. The Dirt Devil has much better pick up and works great for a quick vacuum on tile and even carpet. The only negative is the noise, has high pitch but most vacuums are noisy anyway. At least this one has power to pick up small items at half the price I paid for Electrolux. Cordless is very convenient. You still need a regular upright for deep carpet cleaning.

The shipment came quickly as expected. I was imaging the vacuum would come with a power adapter but it is operated on battery (chargable) only, which turned out to be a benefit since we also use this vacuum on stairs so being cordless provides convenience on that. Although quite slim, the vacuum actually has pretty good pick up. I can see small pieces of threads, cat liter being sucked in easily and only after two uses it has already collected a big clog of dirt -- visible though the clear spin box which is another nice part of it. The only downside is the battery life isn't long enough to cover vacuuming the entire area. So I would highly recommend this product for people living in apartment or only having the need to vacuum a small space. Overall, I love it and enjoy using it.
