It's ok as long as you don't expect it to do a full vacuuming job. It will do quick pickups here and there. Charge doesn't last a real long time and as the charge goes down the suction isn't too good.

I am mostly happy with my vacuum as it does get the basic job done. I love that it is cordless and the base is a huge improvement from the old way of plugging straight into the vacuum (it quickly became difficult to get a good connection). With the base you just place the vacuum in it to recharge and you don't have to mess with the plug at all. I like how easily you can switch from carpet to hard floors with the switch on the handle. I dislike that it does not get edges AT ALL! Fortunately, I never intended this to replace my regular vacuum. I use it to clean up after daycare meals and since I do this frequently I love that I don't have to bend a lot and there are no cords involved. I've had a couple of issues with suction after emptying the cannister. I have yet to figure out what I'm doing wrong, but I always manage to get it working after a little bit of effort. Also, the suction is not fantastic, but usually gets the basic job done.

I bought this item after carefully searching and reading reviews on all the same type products. This one sound like what I was interested in. I have only had for about two weeks, and so far I love it. I have severe back problems and am just unable to run my full size vacuum every day. I have a cat and need something I can use on an almost daily basis. This is perfect. It is light weight and easy to use. Hope it last a long time. It is perfect for my needs. So far it is everything I was needing. It does a good job. I have some wood floors and some carpeting. Seems to do good on both. It is not meant to replace a full size vacuum, so don't expect it to perform like one! It is so easy to use. I would recommend this product to anyone. It had the highest reviews of all the models similiar to it. That is why I chose this one.

I have two dogs that constantly bring in grass, dirt, etc from outside. this is a great tool for quick cleanups. I used to have a Dirt Devil Broom Vac but this is better since it also does carpets. Great for the price.

The Dirt Devil Power Stick is amazing! I've always disliked vacuuming with a cord. Cords are only good for getting wrapped up in or vacuuming over and most of the time you have to hold the cord with one of your hands. Well not with this vacuum. There is so much freedom while vacuuming and its makes it less of a burden to vacuum. Before, I would dread the hassell of a bulky vacuum and a cord. Now its so easy. It isn't frustrating and actually makes cleaning as enjoyable as it can be. As far as the cleaning goes. It works well on hard surface floors. (We don't have carpet so I can't comment on that.) Needless to say, I am completely satisfied!

Works great for small places, and for the occasional cleanup. A little weak for thick carpets, and sometimes have to go over bare floors 2 or 3 times to pick up everything, but can't complain otherwise. Wish it had a separate hose and attachments for furniture and stairs. Perfect though for college dorms or small apartments.

This vacume is amazing. I am confined to a wheel chair. Finally something easy to push around besides my kids. This is very light weight. Holds a charge to clean 1500 square feet of my home. Recharges quickly. Small enough to store anywhere. Gotta love this invention. Most disabled folks will find this very easy to use.

Don't get me wrong, this is a good and functional vacuum, but i did expect it to be a little more powerful. Plusses are that the vacuum's charge lasts a long time, it does pick up dog hair quite easily from tile floors, it is lightweight and easy to manuever, it seems very sturdy and well-made, and it is easy to empty the cup and clean off the filter. On the minus side, I expected it to be much more powerful than it is (not so good on carpets/rugs), and what power it does have is quickly diminished by the collected contents of the dirt cup....which MUST be emptied every time I use it (2000 s.f. of tile in my house).
All in all, it's not a bad little vacuum, and i don't think you could get much better for the price, but if you need more than bare floor clean ups, I'd choose another brand or model.

i love this vacuum. it is for quick (in between big vacuuming)jobs. It moves like a dyson with a great swivel and the best part-ITS CORDLESS. it has a charging base that it sits on so it is plugged in and charged all the time and ready to go. its also extremely lightweight.

I live in New York City in a tiny apartment with tile floors and this is perfect! It's super quiet; my neighbor complains about every noise I make, except my vacuum noise! I haven't used it on carpet, but it's great on the tile. The battery life seems pretty good too, it hasn't died since I've had it. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for, so it's not going to be as powerful as a $600 vacuum, but for the price it's a great value!

The DirtDevil Stick vacuum is just what we needed to pick up bits of mud, grass, etc. (dust and cat hairs too) from the floor where we take off our outdoor shoes. It has good suction and is light enough not to be a chore to use. It takes a little more floor space than would be ideal because the battery charger has to be put flat on the floor.
But the battery in this DirtDevil is not replaceable, so when it dies, off to the landfill (not good: landfill room is getting scarce, and guess why?) I discovered this only by emailing the DirtDevil people. I also learned:
1. Let the battery run down completely before you charge it again (to avoid the "memory effect" that makes batteries take less and less charge until they can't be charged enough to power the item they're in). 2. Then charge it for 16 hours. 3. And don't leave it in the charger to store it. ...because once the battery doesn't work anymore, you have to buy a whole new DirtDevil Stick Vacuum.
This information is not in the instruction manual, and it should be!

I've only had the product 2 weeks so I can't really comment on the durability, but overall I am very pleased with it. Excellent on bathroom tile floors, easy to use, convenient charging station, good power and length of charge (I vaccuumed a large bathroom, dining room/entrance foyer wood floors, kitchen table area rug and under the counter eating area before it began to sound less powerful). The only improvement I would suggest would be more edging power around baseboards. I like the swivel handle and it's easy to clean.
