The JVC HD-W10 Mobile HD Radio Receiver/CD Player features a built-in HD tuner that allows radio stations to broadcast a higher-quality digital version of their normal programming. You'll hear FM stations that approach CD-quality sound, and AM radio that sounds as good as current FM. What's missing? Only the static and crackle of analog radio. SRS Auto Surround creates the sound of a 5.1 Channel sound. Plus, satellite radio, an iPod or CD changer can be added through the changer bus for additional digital-quality entertainment. Includes a wireless remote control.

I purchased this radio mainly to pick up all of the new HD radio stations. I was disappointed to realize that I can only lock onto the HD stations when my truck is stationary and only in certain locations. Otherwise, when the truck is moving, the stations are not received in digital, but only in analog mode. I am very disappointed with the HD reception of this radio. I had even purchased a couple of amplified antenna boosters, but I still had the same problem when driving. The CD and regular radio functions aren't bad. The amplifier is powerful enough to deliver very good sound with little distortion. If it were not for the HD reception problems, this would be a great stereo. Until they fix that problem, I would suggest choosing another brand.

The radio is a good product. The only problem that I had is that when they went to install the radio I had to buy a harness so it would go in my car above the cost of the radio and Instatelation card that I had purchased. The radio has a good sound. And when more stations go to HD it will be better.

I bought this radio online because it was a really good price, lack of detail in the description caused me to miss that it didn't have front aux input, and the HD part was cool, but it didn't pick up to many stations in my area. The head unit itself looks great, and sounds really good, but it was a little disappointing.

I have only had the radio for a week and enjoy it very much sound quality is excellent, when it locks into HD RADIO it gets even better. Even with the stock speakers in the car sound is much clearer than original radio that was there.

The stereo is great. Easy to use, has clock display, displays id tags when playing cds or mp3s. HD radio for me is not all that great. I can't get any HD stations. I get the stations but not in hd it comes in and out. If purchasing for the HD you probably need to live in the city that is broadcasting not just near it. I get the analog of all the stations but not the HD. But that's not a knock on the radio. overall it's a great easy to use unit for a great price.

Awesome stereo. Surpassed my expectations. Picks up signal great. Bass and treble are adjustable seperately in the front and back along with sub bass and volume, which is good because my rear speakers can take more a lot more bass than the front. The sound is excellent, far better than I expected. Reads every CD and mp3 disk I've thrown at it. The receiver looks great, the lights and chrome and all. It looks pretty cool in my dash. The only thing I didnt like was the remote, it works well and is very responsive, but it has very few features and feels cheap. Other than that, for 108 bux this is a heck of a buy.

After searching for the best price on similar products I came across this one and after comparing it to the retail model, the KD-HDR1, it was close to $100 cheaper and when I found the KD-HDW10 at a walmart store it was priced at $188. After installing the unit in my car I was amazed at the clarity of sound and the level of sound customization through the eq and surround sound system. I give this product two thumbs up and even more if I had them. Excellent product with an excellet price. A must buy if you are looking to upgrade your car audio at a resonable price.

i installed this in a 2002 silverado and it went well , once i got the correct wiring harness connector . the website said i needed a gm35 connector , but correct one was a gmda connector , sound is great , instruction are good and easy to follow. the hd part of radio works good , remote works good , only thing i can say against it , is the cd player does not have a pause button

I got one of these babies the other day. I couldn't resist the built in HD tuner. I priced the same radio at another store. $80 more than what I bought mine. I hooked it up and the HD signals come in great. I live in the Washington D.C. area so I get plenty of HD stations. I love the fact that most of the HD stations have additional stations added to them. Sound is great especially HD. This JVC unit does it great. I haven't tried the Ipod connection/satellite, but I feel this unit will handle it superbly. Don't hesitate to buy this product!

Excellent stereo, easy to install. HD feature is as expected, tempermental. When the HD signal fades out, instead of static like heard on a normal FM station, it just goes silent. That's on the HD-2/3 etc. channels. HD-1 just fades into static and continues playing the FM as if you had a normal radio. But overall, I'd have to say that I'm delighted with the purchase considering I've been listening to a standard factory model stereo cassette for the last year-and the knobs were broken off. Great exchange for the better!!!!

this is a great cd player, but if your getting it for the hd radio and you live out in the country like i do, then i would buy something else or get a signal amp because the hd radio cuts out when your listening to it. it gets very annoying after a while. the radio signal comes in clearer with my $80 dual reciever (i guess its just the company who makes them). however, the reciever is excellent at playing cds.
