I know that nearly everyone on here says that the speakers are lacking but in my opinion this would only be true if you are used to surround sound speakers. We upgraded from a 14 year old tv and didn't use speakers with it. This tvs speakers are just fine. We've had the tv for about a month now and we use it as our main tv in the living room and it's speakers are great. The picture is great, the color is great, the menu is easy to use and over all I have no complaints.

This is my second Vizio product and I doubt I would buy any other flat panel brand. It has all the connections and features I wanted for a digital TV in the bedroom with HD satellite service and the price was hundreds less than the "big name" brands. It even has a nice adjustment to keep lips and voices in synch. The picture is unbeatable and the sound is perfect for the room it is in. In addition to the satellite receiver we have a BluRay player with upscale feature and also connect our HD video camera and digital camera SD cards for instant viewing.

I did not do as much research as many others did prior to purchase, but I did read many of the reviews listed here regarding the Vizo products. I have to agree with it is the one of the best prices in this size range, and the quality is outstanding. I like it so much, I'll probably be back for the 42". The low price of shipping is exceptional and important to me, because I have a bad back and small car, so anything this size I have to mail order. It was easy to set up myself (with help also from my cable provider on their tunner box). Believe the reviews here, and you won't be disappointed

I researched this company (Visio) and also read over 400 customer reviews before making my purchase. Have had this unit a couple months and am totally satisfied. Yes, the sound isnt the best, but the picture more than makes up for it. The one year in home warranty is a big plus, and this company is very sound. I would highly recomend any product this company manufactures. Best bang for the buck, because Quality at Value pricing beats high dollar big name brands in my book.

This is my first HDTV and I upgraded from a 19 inch tube. I reviewed and looked at first hand a lot of HDTV's and I mean a lot of HDTV's I searched and looked for about two months trying to make sure I buy the right one. The picture quality is great on HD, standard is ok, and your local channels wont look as good but the HDTV picked up all my local channels in HD as well as a number of unknown PBS stations as well that I didnt know of. To get the full benefit from any HDTV is to have HD service well I dont but I still like the HDTV, sports are shown on local HD channels that are free and many programs are broadcasted in HD. There is no headphone jack for this HDTV, it supports 1080i and everything under that. If you are playing a 360 on this you will be blown away at how good it looks in 1080i. Setup is very easy and the HDTV isnt heavy either, menu options are easy to use. For this price you will be very satisfied I am, and I looked at all the top brand HDTV's Sony, Samsung, LG. and truthfully those HDTV's are $140 more than this one if not more, and the same size as well and when I looked at the specs and picture quality I couldnt see a difference that was worth the extra money and no extra features either. So in all the only thing it lacks is a headphone jack and thats all this is a great HDTV for your money. Consumption is 170w and it is energy star compliant that was one thing that I was looking for as well so its not bad the sound is great, but I also have it plugged into my surround sound which makes it even better. This HDTV is great for anyone looking to buy their first HDTV price and quality perfect match. I purchased this HDTV 9/19/08.

I did a lot of research before buying this TV. I know very little except the more pixels the better, and the simpler the better. For the price, I got a decent TV. I am so far quite pleased with it. Every thing was easy to hook up. I was mis led about the HDMI cable. I had an S cable that would have worked, but I bought the HDMI anyway. In the future I suppose it will come in handy.
Would reccomend to friends and family. Let's see in a year !!

The only problem I had was that I needed a man to take it upstairs and out of the box to the stand. Very easy to read instructions and a snap to set up.I didn't hook up my DVD recorder as this connection isn't HD so will leave it for the installer to do. I've had it since the 21st of August and have had great picture quality and also sound. Some reviews questioned the sound quality but this sounds as good as my Panasonic. The power button on the remote is a bit odd. Otherwise GREAT!
