Step2 Naturally Playful Sandbox

It was fun while it lasted! We had this sandbox last summer. The lid never would stay on without a rock on top of it which caved in the top of the lid. We put the lid on in the fall and somehow some field mice found it and chewed numerous holes into and out of the sides! We had to throw it away. It was kind of expensive to just use for one season and I probably will not buy this item a second time.

This is a very nice sandbox. I like that it is a natural color and therefore blends into the yard, unlike many brightly colored children's items. Like most Step 2 toys, it is a little pricey for plastic-but at least it is durable. If my 4 year old son were to be able to rate this sandbox-he would give it 5 stars for sure as he could play in it for hours some days (He pretends it is a construction site). My 8 year old daughter that isn't so much into the outdoors likes to play in it as well. The whole box and the "seats" at the corners could be a little bigger (I did not even realize that is what they were until I read about it here). I have not had any trouble with the lid staying secure. Overall, a really nice product for your backyard.

This sandbox is big enough for 3 toddlers to play in, even though it looks small. Really, it is the perfect size and shape for it's purpose. Our 16 month-old plays in it every time he goes outside, and invites his friends also. It looks good and the corners are strong enough to support a seated adult (up to about 180 lbs). The lid is light, easy to use, and keeps the box perfectly dry in stormy weather. Our only complaint is the exorbitant price. This is a very cheap to manufacture product. A reasonable price would be less than $50 for sure.

This sandbox is a little small, but a good size for an 18 month old. I don't know if he'll still be playing in it next summer, as he might feel a little cramped then. Other than that, this product feels sturdy and looks great.

We purchased this product for occasional use when our two great grandchildren (ages 16 mos.) come to visit us at the lake. Grandparents, & parents think its great too. We do have to bungee the cover down when not in use or it will fly away.

This sand box was a very good price and I have looked at many. My grandson used it without sand as a "fort" and special play area before they were able to get the sand. He loves it and so do his parents!

I was looking for a sandbox for my 4 year old and did ALOT of research for one. When i finally decided on this one, i was so happy with it. Most sandboxes dont hold more than 30 lbs of sand and thats not even one bag. this one holds 300 lbs! My son absolutley loves it and his friends do too. Several moms have bought this after being at my house. We have several storms in Arkansas and the lid has never come off and there are no straps it is just a wonderful lid! We have had worms get in it tho after a very hard flooding storm. GREAT INVESTMENT and i would buy it over and over again!

Bought this sandbox for my 19 month old grandson. I filled it with the green Crayola sand and I love the look. I like that it matches the Cottage and it blends great with their landscaping. The cover is great for keeping the sand clean and dry.

I buy Step 2 products because for the most part they are made in the United States. This is a nice sized sandbox, very sturdy with a secure lid. the prize was reasonable for the size of the box and considering the lid is included.
