This book stands out among the plethora of light-weight and feel-good books on parenting. You will either love it or hate it. I don't do everything in this book, but it was very valuable in helping me to understand the mind and nature of children. Also many of the practical examples can be used or adapted to our situation if needed. Some people's sensibilities are wounded when you start examining the training of children with such precision and frankness, but if you can think for yourself and are open to some ancient wisdom this book will be well worth it.

Review 2 for To Train Up a Child
By Meleas ,
This should be a book that every parent should read. It tells you exactly how to train up your child to be an obedient and cheerful child. I know several people who use these methods, and they all love how obedient and cheerful their children are. This book is not for those who do not believe in spanking. If you do not believe in spanking, you will hate this book. If you believe in biblical principles and want to train up your children according to the bible then this book is for you. :)
