This product is awesome. It was a twenty dollars well spent. I love the hummer h3 mode. I really like how you can take the front off for more of a hummer h3 look, and then snap it back on. I also like the color green it is. It stands out because most ambulances are white like rescue ratchet. Most people complain that the claw on top doesn't stay on, but mine stays on just fine. I think the decor on ratchet is awesome.
I have to say that the transformation is fairly easy. The robot mode is nice and sturdy because ever since I got ratchet he hasn't fallen at all. The claw can also be used for all kinds of cool things in robot mode. It can be used as a shield, an arm extender, and a arm cannon. I also love the hidden saw in his left arm.
Overall, this is a great toy. Definitely get him soon.

I've purchased many of these Transformers for my son and have never had a problem until now. The color of the toy online is shown as yellow. When we received the item, it is actually green. Because he saw it originally online as bright yellow, my son was a bit disappointed when he opened it and realized it was green. Other than the color, Ratchet is a great toy.

I purchased this toy for my 9 year old and he absolutely loved it. If they are a fan of the movie or cartoon then you can't go wrong with this toy. It was a little hard to put together by his younger sibling (age 6) so you may want to reconsider if you are buying it for a child that young. But we did find out it could take a beating and keep on working. When pieces do fall off (and you had to hank on it pretty good for this to happen - and the 6 year old did) they would easily snap back on. Overall, we were very happy with the purchase and will buy more as holiday gifts!

Not too difficult to transform. Parts are tough, and easy to maneaver it's tranformation process. But not a transformer for a kid younger than 5. If I would of know that he came in white color, I would of bought the white one instead of the green one. Not that there is anything wrong with the green one, it is a cool color for ratchet. The only thing that I disliked was the cage on top of vehicle mode will not hold or stay in it's place. It easily moves/falls off it's slots. Also on robot mode, the cage does not hold very well. But again, we are not picky transformer fans...so my son and I are happy with it. He's our medical/fix it transformer when the rest of the autobots get whipped by the decepticons.
