As a mother to 2 toddler girls, one of whom has autism it i hard to find toys that foster sensory, cognitive, fine motor, language and social skills. This set ecnouraged all of these. We bring this set out and she gets excited. My husband and I along with our other daughter sit and play with this for over 30 minutes. This may not seem very long but for an autistic child this is forever.
Usually toys in our home last a few weeks or do nothing for stimulation.
I recommend this to all parents. This is a great priced, wonderfully made quality item!
Our daughter speaks when using this item and shares with her little sister (14 months apart in age). We have even bought a set for her special education preschool that she attends 2 days a week and the other kids love it. Thank you Play-Doh!

LOVE the playdough as much as when I was a kid. My 4 year old grandson had never used it and spent the entire rainy afternoon making really cool things. This did bring back great memories.

My grandmother got this for my son (3.5 years)while we visited over thanksgiving and my son was instantly entranced. Loved it. Loved making creatures from the cutouts, making "sketti" from the press, creating long ropes of stars, circles and moons from the other press. And the fact that he could FINALLY use scissors on something was the greatest for him. Only thing was that the playdoh was, well, it was kinda gooey. Not sure if it was just from grandma's house being kind of warm or a bad batch, but definately recomend this product.
