Hoover Mach 5 Multi-Chamber Cyclonic Bagless Vacuum

I have had this Hoover for almost a month and use it constantly. It was easy to put together and begin using. I have two dogs (one with long hair) and two cats all of which shed to some degree and this has been the best vacuum yet to pick up all that hair. I do not have carpet and it works great on my bare floors. I love the attachemnts for cleaning my couches and pet pillows and even my mattresses. I do not think it is heavy but you can tell it is a solid piece of equipment. I have had two other vacuums that cost well over $1000.00 and this Hoover works better than those ever did. I Highly recommend this vacuum.

I have had this for about a month. so far it has been a great product. I have two long haired cats and this vacuum picks up all the hair! It pulls the carpet up and makes it feel softer. Great vacuum especially for the price.

(order it online...went to 4 stores that all stated they had it in stock...they didn't) got the product sent to my house....cheap shipping and only took 4 days!

If there is such a term as a 'dream vacuum cleaner' then this Mach 5 is it! I researched for days on the computer before I decided on this Mach 5 version. It has more suction power than I ever imagined a machine could have. I had just vacuumed the house with my old vacuum the day before my Mach 5 arrived. I opened it immediately, put it together (which was very easy to do) and starting vacuuming. I was amazed at how much MORE dirt and dust the Mach 5 was picking up just after I had vacuumed! I love the way you dump the dirt from the bottom of the removable dirt cup instead of the old type you had to turn over to empty. One click and the bottom just opens up and your dirt is in your trash. I got carried away with the hose and wands and crevice tool and was amazed and what an excellent job it did. I put the brush tool on the end of one want and vacuumed the dust that ALWAYS collects on the wire screens that you close together in front of your fireplace logs. Remember how hard it was to get that dust and dirt off? Well just run that brush over the chained screen and it just erases the dirt away. I also used the same brush attachment to vacuum my drapes and valances and they look brand new, no need to take them down and wash them now! I love my Mach 5 and I'm glad I did my homework....... one happy Mrs. Clean!

I just moved in and had used our old vacuum and a rug doctor just days before my Mach5 arrived. It still pulled up so much "stuff" that I had to empty the chamber twice before I was done! (1600 sq ft of carpet). My wife thought that it had a secret ares that comes full of dust from the factory to make it look good. She could not believe that after all our cleaning this Mach5 was able to find so much "stuff" in our carpets. I did not rate the durability because I have owned it less than two months, but I have had no issues with it.

After years of nothing but trouble with lower priced vacuums, I decided to get a Dyson. My sister, who has a Dyson, told me to think twice because she's less than thrilled with hers, so there went that idea. I went into Wal Mart with no particular model in mind, and left with this one, and I've been very pleased. It seems to work very well, and it's easy to empty. I also like the retractable cord. The only think I'm not really thrilled with is that it doesn't seem to work very good on hard surface floors.

I purchased the Hoover Mach 5 last week and I've been very impressed with it's cleaning power. I was surprised to see how much dirt and dust my old Simplicity vacuum had left behind.
Pros: Cleaning power and all the Mach 5's features. Doesn't loose suction like vacuums with bags.

Cons: Weight. It's heavy for children to take up and down the stairs. I like the weight though, it seems to help with its cleaning abilities. Being bagless it can be messy when dumping out the dirt cup.

Picked up great for the first week. The roller brush does not engage like it should. Will be taking it back.

I love the automatic cord winder, the adjustable handle makes storing it nice too.

When I bought this vacuum I was extremely excited. It was great looking at it was supposed to be as good or better than a Dyson. Simply said...it's NOT! It worked awesome for approximately 2 months and then all of a sudden, no suction. None. I took it apart thinking there might be an obstruction. No obstruction. Filters were clean. Wal Mart was wonderful for letting me return it after 2 months of use. I exchanged it for a bagless windtunnel. So far I like the windtunnel. This is Hoover's last chance if they want me as a loyal customer.
