Bought this for my son for Christmas 2009 online. It was cheaper on the walmart site than any other store. Son uses it often to play online. He says he can hear better with this than his old one. My son knew about this headset and asked for it for Christmas.

tried it out at a friends house and thought it would be pretty nice to have. been using it non stop for my xbox and i love it. no problems with it.. just gotta get used to hearing game sounds and chat in the headset at the same time

I've been using these for almost a month and am very happy with the performance. I have an xbox 360, and the quality is way above expectations. Ergonomics are done well and mic/game sound mix can be adjusted by you depending on the game. The only criticism I have is about the wires. It comes with a good length, but they tend to get tangled. It should not be a bar to getting these headphones, however.

Ok first off, these are by far the best thing i ever bought for the 360. They are comfortable and the sound is amazing. Its like your playing modern warfare 2 with movie theater quality sound. They did a good job balancing the game chat with the game audio. You can also control the sound level of the voice and game chat. Im surprised that these headsets are 40-60 dollors. A MUST HAVE FOR ANY GAMER OR MOVIE BUFF

its good because you can hear the game through the mic headphones. but if you use an hdmi cable, i wouldn't recommend this because the HDMI cable won't fit once you connect the mic to hear the game sound and the picture will be degraded.

turtle beach x1 is really awesome!! its got loud bass, and everything!
but the 2 bad thing is that you have to yell in the mic if you want people to hear you. also if you have play & charge kit or wired controller it makes a buzzing noise.
overall i like it!!

These are my 1st gaming headset like these I've own and these are the worst headphones I could ever possible ever gotten! I got them for Christmas, and have only used them twice, and the were awful from the very begging. I am going to return these headphones as soon as I can. From the moment I used them, they've been awful. In the right ear all I hear is static; and in the left all I hear is clicking, gameplay (goes from quiet to loud than back again). If I try to send a voice message to one of my friends it's nothing but static. And voices coming back into the headset, forget about it! And as for Turtle Beaches voice thing so you can always hear the game chat; well that only makes the problem worse!

I received the X1 headphones for Christmas from my girlfriend. They were quite honestly the perfect gift for me that fell into her budget. These headphones are simply amazing. Yes, they are wired, but the chord is very long and is not an issue for me. The sound is ridiculous. I play Modern Warfare 2 and you wouldn't believe how many times you catch people sneaking up on you now. You can hear footsteps coming from all over (no need for heartbeat sensors anymore). The only draw back I found to these headphones was the lack of an input/output for HDMI cables. So if you hook your 360 up to your tv using a HDMI cable you're also going to need an adapter for that (otherwise switch back to components). That simple fact is the reason I gave it a 4/5 for expectations, but besides that these are PERFECT for hardcore gamers.

They are the best gaming headphones that can be found at a cheap price. I got my first ones for a few weeks already and I love them. Can hear every little sound and if connected properly, can be used for both PC sounds and Xbox 360 sounds + mic working for PC at the same time while talking on the Xbox.

i have had this headset for 5 months and it is great the audio is prefect for all of your favorite games when you first get it you might not like it and a lot of people get rid of them and they don't understand that your ears have to adjust. if you don't like changing batteries and dont mind extra wires this is the product for you

Short and sweet review: If you want to have great sound and a good mic for your games consider buying this headset.
The only 2 downsides I've found are the amount of wires, but that's not so bad and the fact I get a slight ringing from my mic still trying to work that out. Overall it's way better than the official microsoft headset. Worth a buy.
