Good for young family game night,

We have a 6 year old with poor eye-hand coordination, and a 3 year old that just wants to play what we do. This game is the perfect family night game for all of us. My 3 year old can't play it by himself, but if we're there to read the instructions to him (lots of reading in this game), he can do all the games movements & understands how they work. My 6 year old daughter loves it - and has brought out an unexpected competitive nature in her. My husband & I love it, too.

First thing first, I have always loved the mario party series and this is a new great addition to it. If your playing alone most of the time, the game will probably not be as fun as it was when you first got. But if you have friends over, this game is a BLAST!!! Another fun thing is that it has a feature where you can listen to Character voices and music from the game. I personally love this feature. Get this game! Its exciting :)

I was sort of disappointed in this game. Well "sort of" is an understatement. While my seven year old enjoys this game it absolutely bore me to tears. The whole game is like a board game. You take your turn, "role" the dice, and move the certain amount of spaces. That's about it summed up. If you're getting this for a young child it will probably be okay but if it's for an adult or teen I don't know. If you're into non-challenging/boring games then go for it.

I've enjoyed playing Mario Party games that were available on the Nintendo 64 (Mario Party 1, 2, & 3), but then felt "Hudson Software" (Developers of the Mario Party Franchise) had lost a grip whenever they started making Mario Party Games for the Nintendo Gamecube. They ended up making way to many party games and (out of all of them, was only able to play Mario Party 5 for that system) which I felt they did a terrible job with the way you play the game. In Mario Party 8, they have recreated what I messed from the series and have added more. The only thing that keeps me from giving this game a 4 stars out of 5, is the fact that I can only play the game in full screen mode. The starting of the game seems to be Widescreen format, but when you start the party it becomes full screen. I wish Nintendo would have made them put that on the package just like DVD movies do , for Example (Game uses 4:3 Full Screen Ratio).

I bought this game from a friend and this game rocks, my 5 year old loves this game and wants to play it all the time. It can get tireing after the 5th time playing it lol. The whole family loves the game. I do wish they had more mini games to play.

Has lots of different games and ways to play from one to four players. You can change the amount of rounds to adjust how long you play the shortest game we had was about 45min. with the longest it was almost 3hrs. with four of us fighting for first place.

We bought this game thinking it would be fun since it is aimed towards parties. We thought it would be a great addition to our new Wii and wanted a game that would motivate us to use it. Very boring and does not meet my expectations at all. The Wii is a very interactive gaming console which lead us to believe all the games would be just as interactive but they aren't. Stick to the games that get your family off the couch like baseball and other sports.
