Dark Sector is a third person action adventure game that has some of the same similarities as Gears of War. With that being said it could have been better and overall is not nearly as good as Gears is. If you like action, cover based combat and new unique weapons you should like this game. Your main weapon, the glaive, is like having a boomerang sized ninja throwing star that returns to you after you throw it. You can power up this and other weapons throughout the game untill you feel very powerful towards the end. With the gaming bar set so high with titles like Call of Duty 4 and Grand Theft Auto 4 game developers are going to have to at least achieve the level they have already set for themselves. Had this been a launch title it would have been reviewed much higher. All in all I had fun playing this game and have even started on a second time through. It is a fun game without much of a story but a lot of action.
