The steps are pretty accurate...the miles are not, though...Maybe I have the stride too short..don't know...I know I have walked a measured distance of 3 miles and the pedometer is telling my that I've barely walked 2 miles...I am trying to adjust accordingly...but over all I am satisfied...shouldn't cost so much

The omron pedometors are the absolute best !!! This is my second one. I lost the clip on the last and decided to upgrade to this model pedometer. I will never use any other type pedometer. This is very accurage. I have been using them for 5 yrs now.I have suggested this pedometer to so many individuals and they all love them. I hope walmart always carries this product.

This product works well. I have had it for 3 weeks now. For the features it has, it does great.
I like to use it when i go for walks outdoors. I use it on the treadmill too. But on the treadmill, i still write down the calories from the treamill counter because it does take into account the incline.
I do wish that there was a way to account for your incline on a walk, as this takes more calories. Maybe a way to monitor your heart rate.
I had a little difficulty calibrating the stride. Counting my steps and then measuring. Be sure you take those steps in an open area. Otherwise objects in your way 9the cat, the furniture) will cause you to adjust your stride.
A power saver/off button would be nice. Make the battery last longer.
All in all, a good product. I read that the meters that do the heart monitor and all that are hundreds of dollars. SO for the price, i am very happy with this.

People raved about this product-I'm not sure it deserves all that. First, it does not turn off. Even to carry it to & from where you are walking/jogging throws it off. If you stop walking for more than a minute, it stops working and I don't know how to start it again. I was under the impression you could wear a pedometer to see how many steps you take in a day, but you can't, because it stops if you stop or sit down and does not start back up on its own. The online graphing is not as nice as I thought it would be. You can't watch the time when it's on your waist -if you want to run for 5, walk for 5 etc.

I love it!!!! Great if you have a computer. You can make pdf's of your monthly progress, print them out, increase your goals as you go. Worth the money!!!!! I wear it all the time, not only does it count your steps but also your aerobic steps (the actual exercise you do) but it tells you the miles, calories, etc.....Highly recommend it!

Product itself is simple to use. The clip for the belt could be longer without detracting from design so it would sit more stable on the belt. I love the "aerobic" setting so you know how many aerobic steps you have taken (vs. every day steps).

I was concerned that the software wouldn't work on Vista because it didn't say so. I downloaded the software from the Omron site and tried it before I bought. This will work with vista. Software is easy to use and pedometer is easy to set up. I loose pedometers often and the safety strap really helps me to keep from loosing this one.
Being able to track my daily steps and aerobic steps helps to motivate me and reminds me to keep up the pace that I set. Overall I like this product. I wish you could buy additional pedometers (without the software) at less cost for other members of my family!

This pedometer is easy to use. It keeps track of number of steps for up to a week, that can be checked on the pedometer. This pedometer can also be connected to the computer to access information up to a month. You can set goals and access the number of steps in a graph format.

This product actually works in my pocket. The other pedometers I have used do not keep accurate numbers unless they are placed in the correct spot on your body. This product works great anywhere you place it. I still have not mastered the program that came with it, to set it up for download to your computer.

I have had a few pedometers and none have worked correctly for me. This one has been very accurate. I love that it comes with software and can download the information to your PC. I would recommend this pedometer to anyone who wants one that actually works.

I am in love with this pedometer! Not only does it count steps, but it also calculates your mileage, calories and fat burned. It sets up easily on your computer so you can keep track of your daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.
It truly is a fantastic product and a very good price!

We purchased three Omron Pocket Pedometers for a walking club. They seem accurate. We especially like the fact that it can simply go in your pocket; the little security clip is somewhat hard to adjust, but since we put it in the pocket of our jacket and zip the pocket shut, it doesn't matter. One of us keeps it in her pocket all day long, and captures data (miles) through the day.
Although the product packaging and information does not say so, you can actually have up to 20 people's names on the software that you load onto the computer. So, the entire walking club could use one computer and each individual can track their progress and goals separately. (No comparisons are possible, though- that, or a "group mileage" computation would be a good addition to the software package. The software installed easily, was easy to configure, and the item came with the USB cable you need as well as the CD rom. It was a little challenging to configure the stride length, but that would be true no matter which product we purchased.

I love this piece of equipment.
The first that acturately measures the distance you walk. I love uploading to my computer where I can printout the results.
The best things are 1. It resets itself at midnight and 2. It tells you the amount of aerobic steps you walked and the amount of time was spent at the aerobic pace.
