Wouldn't rate this as anything exciting but it gets the job done. We do get a lot of beeps in the city but that is to be expected. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a RADAR detector...not a police detector. Just something to keep in mind.

It saved me couple of times already in just the first week after I got it. It's a nice one for the money I spent since you can't really avoid being detected by cops. Don't waste too much money buying other fancy ones.

I've had the xtr-105 now for 2 weeks and it has saved me twice now. So far the range has been 3/4 mile. And i'm very pleased with it. The feature i liked most was the strength meter on it that you don't see much on radar detectors anymore. I also own a cobra ESD757 it only gets a 1/2 mile range. For the price that i gave for them not to bad if you're on a budget and don't speed rediculously.

Whistler makes good quality produts at a great price. This detector will stop you from getting a ticket just like the high priced brands. The only difference is the extra bells and whistler. I would highly recommend this product or any other whistler product.
