After reading the reviews, I saw that people complained that it would rain and they would get wet. The people who sealed it properly had no complaints. The instructions on the tent clearly tell you to seal the tent. For this, use Mcnetts tent waterproofer and seam sealer. This will make the tent excellent. I am a backpacker, and this tent isn't too bad to carry (like 8 pounds). Good tent. Just seal it and u will be happy.

I ordered the tent for my daughter and myself for our camping trip. I was surprised with the design of the tent for the price! I'm not sure about longevity, but you can't beat the price and easy setup!

Pros: Roomy for 1 with lots of gear. Good size and strength of fabric and floor. Easy to setup and take down. Lightweight. Cons: Wouldn't use it for more than two adults. The fiberglass poles are week. Tripped on one and it broke the first day. Did a field patch and it held up till I got the new one.

The 8x9 size is very missleading, also the 4 man is also missleading, actual usable area is 6.6 deep. The meaurments widist points, due to the octangular shape. Great tent for two, not over 6ft. I don't beleive you can find a better value for the price, just my opinon, Jess

great value but not optimal. camped with it through a light rain storm. set up is great with two people but rough with one. stayed fairly dry but seams leaked a little in the back where it fell off the tarp. i feel that it's too big for backpacking in but that's because it sleeps four. I really don't like the cheap bottoms on walmart tents, but if your gonna stay on the beaten path while its dry weather this one is perfect for you!

To be honest I did not have high expectations for this tent. I never used an Ozark Trail before and for $28 I figured it would be a short term solution for my weekend camping trips at least until I could afford a larger, more luxurious tent. But after I set this up at my campsite I was more than happy with it. Easy to assemble and much more spacious inside than I thought. The gear loft, side pockets, and hanging cup holders are a very nice touch. I could easily fit my queen size air mattress in there along with my gear. The tent just has nice "personality" to it. I have been through one rainstorm with it and yes there was minor leakage through one seam, but nothing serious and overall it held up nicely. (Hint: ALL tents leak, always apply seam sealer inside and out to prevent this.) My only critique is the fiberglass poles. They are not as sturdy as I would like them to be. They held up fine under windy conditions but I was nervous about breaking one during set up if I bent it too much. It's always a good idea to purchase spare poles from the manufacturer in advance. Aslo the carrying bag is too small and it's very difficult to get it back in there. I bought a separate duffle to store it in. But yes, a great buy and a fun tent that proved it's tougher than I thought.

I found that this tent fits three adults comfortably with gear. I love the tarp like waterproof bottom this way I do not have to buy a tarp to put underneath. The rainproofing works well and I enjoy all the little things they added to this tent to make my camping experience easier. Cant wait to buy the ozark trail air mattress with pump!

i just bought it and set it up. my daughter and i love it. it has a storage loft and storage pockets which will help us stay organized when we go camping. it came with NO missing parts. i like how the floor tarp connects with the fabric walls high off the ground so rain can't get in. it is perfect for 2 adults and 2 medium to small children. very easy to sets up, didn't even need the directions. i only used them to confirm parts. i also like that you can take the rain top off and catch some sun without allowing bugs to get in.

The feedback I got back from my Aunt (who I gave it to), she loves it and it the right size and weight for a single lady who can't lift heavy objects. It is winter in New York right now so she hasn't used it yet, but has set it up and had no problems. She's sent me TWO Thank You cards she likes it so much.

Bought this for a trip to the Florida Keys. Quick easy set up fits back in bag well. Was in a couple of steady rain showers and winds up to 30 mph and everything stayed up and dry. Perfect size for 2. Held a full size air mattress and two large duffle bags with room to spare.

I bought this product because of the weight for my cycling tours. It's a little flimsy against any wind at all and the poles feel like there going to snap when you bend them. For a back yard camper this tent would be perfect. For the price though you get a great tent. I havent tested its "waterproof" promises yet but i will...

This tent is great for back packing, holds up good in the rain. Remeber to take care of your equipment, and it will last for a very long time. After using it, do not repack in the cardboard box inside the bag. It will keep in any moisture, and it will develope mold and stink.

Bought this for my 2 grandsons ages 5 and 3, it's large enough to their parents to sleep with them and the 2 drink holders are awesome, they hand from the loops in the tent and hold drinks safely from spillage. Only used once but the quality seems very good and the bottom is thicker than I expected, so I believe this will hold up very well.

We bought this tent in order to have room for the two of us and our two medium size pooches. We are happy with the floor space that let us put in a large queen size air bed down with room to spare. The quality is good and the double stitching keeps us dry. We did, following the recommendations of ALL tent makers, seal the seams before use. It took 3 tubes of sealant to get all the seams inside and out. That is a different story but we recommend you experiment a bit with different sealers. They are NOT created equal. The tent was easy to put up even by one person and repacked easily into the provided storage bag. The vented fly adds to good air flow and reduced moisture build-up inside. As with most tents we would recommend using a tarp or other footprint to protect the tent-bottom from punctures and wear since the bottoms are adequate but far from bullet proof. Use of aluminum, rather than steel stakes would have lowered the total weight. We don't plan to backpack this tent so the weight is not really a big issue for us. The included hanging net bags were a nice addition. There are zippers at the lower front corners and we are not sure why they are needed. The openings are too small for anything but slipping a hand in and out. We did not use them at all. This tent is just what we needed for our needs considering how often we will use it, where we use it (desert and mountain), and the very reasonable price.
