You can't beat the price and features of this bike. The only issue we've had is when my daughter tried to switch to a lower gear when already in the lowest gear, the chain would get hung up. A quick adjustment to the derailer fixed it.

Great Entry Level Mountain Bike,

Bought this bicycle site to store for my 9 year old daughter who looks more like a 11-12 year old in height. This bike's seat post will allow her to grow into it for another four to five years. My local Walmart was great in terms of willing to assemble the bicycle for me although it took another two days after it was received before I could pick it up. My daughter has been riding it for the past few weeks and is learning how to shift gears. She loves the looks and functionality of the bicycle. What prevented this bike from earning an "excellent" rating was the fact that after bringing the bicycle home, the gears did not shift smoothly and would jump a couple of gears when it was shifted. The assembler should have ensured proper function of the derailleurs. Being a little handy with bicycles, I attempted to adjust the derailleurs. I was able to adjust the rear derailleurs but the front derailleurs was still not functioning smoothly even after a couple of hours fiddling around with it. I was not able to taotally get proper clearance between the guide and the chain. It may be due to a slightly bent crank or guide - hard to tell. It works fine but once in a while it sounds like the chain is hitting the guide when in higher gears (15 - 21 speed). In lower gears the problem doesn't appear to be present so my daughter has mainly kept it between 8 and 14 gears. Otherwise a great entry level mountain bike.

The only things wrong with this bike is I am extremely rusty at riding. The grears are kind of weird to me. Back in the day I used to have a 10-speed and had no problems changing gears, so that's all me. Love the color, and the styling. I wasn't sure about the fact that its 24" because I am 5'5" in height. I just felt that the 26" was just too high. I just didn't like hiking my leg up that high even with the seat down I was on my tippy-toes. It just seemed big to me. I adjusted the seat up a litte (which is easy to do with the lever on the side) and all seems fine except my steering. I just wanted something to ride at the campground etc. Very nice. And the Wal-Mart associate was extremely nice. I'm very happy. Now if I can get that steering down.......lol.

My 9 year old daughter picked this out and we ordered it site to store (it was a bit cheaper than in the store. They put it together for free and did a very nice job. My daughter loves it and rides it everyday. For the price it is great, no problems with the chain falling off (we showed her how to properly change the gears). She can't wait to take it camping. FYI, we had to buy a bar for it to fit on our bike rack for the car.

Let's just say to start with, I have bought many bikes in my past. This bike by far is my favorite. It's safe and reliable. It works great on many different surfaces. It's an 18 speed so I can put the gears where needed on whatever surface I may be on. I can't say how it would do in the mountains because I live way out in the woods and hardly ever go to the mountains, but it works great riding through the woods, off of the paths, so it's pretty much the same as riding through the mountains. I must say though, the seat is a little hard. That can be fixed easily though. Walmart carries a memory foam seat cover, it's pretty affordable, at $16. I hope this review helps!

I was very impressed with this product. My daughter is 11 years old and this is the first NEW bike that I have been able to purchase for her. The price was GREAT, it is quality built, comfortable and easy to maneuver. Another reason that I chose this bike is because my daughter's name, TIARA, is in the brand name. It is printed on the cross bar and that makes it extra special for her. Compared to the ones in the store the pricing and quality is a better deal on-line and that is where I purchased it because our local Wal-Mart didn't carry it in store.

Bike is a bit small if you are 5'5 or Feels like a girls bike not women's. The seat is an absolute killer. Had to keep stopping due to butt ache. The bike is nice and durable has lots of gear shift and adjustable seat. Very lightweight would suggest you either change seat or wear a padded panty lol

I am a 35 year old mom that wanted to ride with her kids. I am under 5'2", so I went with the 24" as to not kill myself. I really like riding my bike. It works great out off the trails and on the street.
I needed some items to make the bike work for me. When I "test drove" the bike I did not think the seat was too hard. After riding a bit.. I was sore for a couple of days. You WILL need to upgrade the seat. I also bought new hand grips as the ones on there are really rough. It does not have holes in it to attach a water bottle. I bought a pouch to go on the front of the bike to hold that and other items. I also bought a light. So- the bike ended up costing a good amount more than the $109, but I am happy.

We bought this bike for our 10 yr. old granddaughter for Christmas and it is perfect for her! Before purchasing the bike, I took Jaclyn(10 yrs. old) to Walmart and she sat on several girls bikes, including this 24". Jaclyn is an average 5th grader in size and it fit her fine. The bike was completely assembled and when we got it home we noticed the suggested age is 15 yrs. old. It has more gears than she will ever use, but, the price is so great, that's just a plus. This bike should last her a good 3-5 years or more, if she takes care of it. More importantly, Jaclyn loves it, and her friends have commented; they have never seen a purple mountain bike!

We just recieved this item tonight. Packing was VERY POOR!!! It is literaly just the bicycle and a box. Nothing else. The box was completely beat up, smashed, huge holes on both ends and had packing tape holding it together where the middle had brocken open. As far as I'm concerned, it should have been free shipping, instead of almost 20 dollars.
That being said, bike set up was very easy. The whole thing took about 20 minutes from start to finish. When it was complete, it looked very cool.
It is a nice design, good feminine colors for a young woman. My wife rode it around for a few minutes and it worked great.
Worth the purchase if you can find one already put together in a store, I wouldn't recomend having it shipped, at least while you have to pay for it.
