The AC unit seemed good when we checked it out it prior to installation, but the dimensions on the web site were wrong by several inches overall. It did not fit our Haier sleeve and we had to buy another kind.

poor trim kit and loud,

the trim kit does not match the dimensions listed in the product description. to install the trim kit, I had to cut away part of the existing wall sleeve!!!! BEWARE of the listed dimensions! BEWARE that the unit weights 90 lbs! BEWARE that this unit is louder than you ever imagine. I would return it except for weight of the unit, and that it is now installed.

I ordered this to replace a 30+ year old wall unit at my home. Much to my suprise when discovered the measurements of the Air Conditions were 20.66" by 24.03" by 14.56" (L x Wx H). As you can imagine I was unable to use the product because it simply would not fit because the product description has the width and the legnth incorrect.

The Haier 11,600 btu through the wall a/c is the best I have seen. Its cooling is fantastic and is very quiet. No vibrations. It fits right into existing sleeves and all the parts are included for installing in all sleeves produced. My sleeve is from 1997 Hotpoint 10,000 btu a/c and everything fit perfectly. I recommend this brand to everyone.
I first saw the a/c Aug 2008, on a morning show with Consumer Reports recommending this brand of a/c as the most effecient and quiet unit on the market today.
