This is a feature rich amp for such little money. It is easy to hook up but not so easy to setup with all the options present. It sounds good and works well once everything is figure out. I would recommend this product for someone that wants a customizable room setup.

I bought the right fiber optic cable and 16ga speaker wires and hooked it up just as the instuctions said and could not get it to work Bummer!!!, So I returned the system back to the store for a refund. In my opinion you should think twice before you waste your money on this product....Walmart sells a Pioneer Surround Sound system with a DVD player for $198.00 that has 360watts of sound so I bought that instead and it sounds great it really makes your walls vibrtate and has a really clear sound and it was very simple to set up & use.

THIS RECEIVER WORKS GOOD FOR THE MONEY, I WANTED ONE WITHOUT TOO MUCH ON IT SO IT WOULD BE EASY TO SET UP AND WORK AND IT IS, I HAVE IT IN MY SHOP WITH FOUR SMALLER SPEAKERS AND IT IS LOUD ENOUGH BUT LACKS ON THE BASE, I DON'T HAVE A SUB ON IT YET BUT WITH THAT ADDITION I THINK IT WILL BE GREAT. VERY GOOD BANG FOR THE BUCK!

Great product, great value. I have a center channel speaker and a powered subwoofer on order. In my small living room I do not even need it. My firend gave me a pair of Yamaha fronts and I use some Awia speaker mounted on the walls for my surrounds. When my other speakers arive I am sure I will get a call or two on the noise level .LOL

Good product for the price. Excellant sound output. Quite and low energy usage. There are a limited number of inputs, not for someone who plans to hook up sevel devices. Improvements would be to be able to adjust bass & treble and more optical sound inputs. Overall quite pleased with JVC on this one. Walmart store to store shipping worked well for me also.

I replaced an 8 year old RCA tuner with this JVCRX-5060B. I shopped primarily for price and user friendly set up. Since I admit no expertise..I did have the tuner up and connected to all components (5) within 3 hours. To date (two weeks later) I continue to be pleased with the sound output and the clarity...no noise or hiss at all, even with the volume at 100%. The subwoofer output is very good....it will vibrate the diaphrame. Pro-logic and virtual surround sound is much better than average...close to 90%....even when the DVD is not in surround sound.
Response to controlling the other components in my home theater is very good. And it works well with my Harmony remote, although some programming is necessary.
So far I have not been disappointed and would recommend this tuner to any one that does not require the absolute final sound in a home theater. If price it your motivator, this is the best I found on the WEB.

The stero is not really set up to take 500w speaker wires, the remote control is not user friendly at all, and the power button on the receiver itself is strange, you would think it is turned on because the light is on, but really the power is off in that mode.

The sound that came out of this receiver was very unexpected. Sounds alot more than it is worth, of course it could use some HDMI and component connections but this receiver is strictly for audio, video is not really supported as far as inputs(a couple RCA video outputs). No distortion when I crank it up, highs and lows are great. Don't forget your sub-woofer will have to be self amplified in order to work, then again if you dont have a self amplified sub then your not really getting any power for lows. Overall I highly recommend this receiver for its price, you wont be disappointed.
