This product is very easy to use, though it takes some getting used to if you are new to using anything of this nature. The fact that it is versatile enough to take with you while traveling is a definite plus.

This product is well worth the money. I was disappointed that you have to use it on a door because the area I work out in doesn't have a door. I workout with it in another room.

I've been searching for this product across the internet for over a year. In the mid 1990's another company developed a similar product named the "Hard Body Finess Bar" that sold for $60--but apparently that company is out of business. I've been so disappointed because I couldn't find a replacement for my "Hard Body Fitness Bar" since it was stolen out of my car with other personal belongings a few years ago. I couldn't believe I finally found a similar product sold by WalMart at their website. I was so excited, I ordered two--and I WILL ORDER 10 MORE AFTER WRITING THIS REVIEW JUST TO HAVE THESE INGENIUS EXERCISE ITEMS AVAILABLE TO MY FAMILY AND MYSELF IN THE FUTURE SHOULD WALMART STOP CARRYING THEM.
The "Hard Body Fitness Bar" (no longer manufactured), like the Gold's Gym Lunge Bar, is a brilliant product that uses resistance rubber bands, a bar, and detachable handles that can give the user a dynamic full body work-out similar to a work-out using a bench press and dumb bells. I use the Gold's Gym Lunge Bar whenever I have to travel on the road or don't have time to get to my home gym. My weight set-up is in the garage where it's freezing cold during the winter months. Instead of freezing in the garage, I use my Gold's Gym Lunge Bar inside my warm house; I develop a sweat in minutes. I believe all my major muscles groups are affected by the workout. You can do bench press, upright rowing, curls, overhead press, standing flys, squats, and more once you learn to adapt the bar for those uses. You develop more resistance by rolling the bands around the bar to increase the tension--and I'm telling you--you'll get a great workout and show muscular development as well with this little gym in a bag.
I'm a former World Class athlete ie: world martial arts champion who's worked in movies with Chuck Norris. The Gold's Gym Lunge Bar allows me to travel anywhere in the world and get a gym-type workout in less than 20 minutes. I'm a heavy-weight fighter and I know that use of the Gold's Gym Lunge Bar gives me the punching/penetrating power through resistance training while still allowing me to retain and increase my flexibility for martial arts practice. My shoulders don't get as blown up with the Gold's Lunge Bar as they do with using an Olympic free weight bar--you get a symmetrical, centered physique, with chest, bicep, forearm, shoulders definition--similar to using a Nautilus exercise machine.
The bar is about 3 feel in length and breaks down nicely. It would fit in a briefcase or small gym bag or in a ladies' medium size purse.

My lady friend is an International Flight Attendant who is pretty wiped out after traveling overseas. Many times she doesn't have time to get to a gym in whatever city she's stopped in. I bought an extra Gold's Gym Lunge Bar for her and she loves it. She's now able to work out in her hotel room, reengergize and feel fantastic without having to leave her hotel room to commute to a local gym.
Don't buy any of these bars because I want them all for myself. Before the end of this year, I'll order a total of 10 Gold's Gym Lunge Bars for my family and myself for future use, holiday and birthday gifts, and just to have as backups. The original "Hard Body Fitness Bar" I purchased in the mid-1990's sold for $60. For the price of under $15---the Gold's Gym Fitness Bar is a steal!
