It is an awesome bench. It meets expectations and it is very comfortable. Except for the leg press, the pads are too short. Other than that, the self spotter, the squat rack are very helpful. And the preacher pad is not uncomfortable at all. Just what i expected. Great bench overall!

This machine bench is very helpful. It has already helped me in many areas of expertise in building muscle. The only downfall to this bench is that it is extremely hard to put together. Besides that small defect, it is an amazing bench.

We ordered this weight bench for home use. The product arrived much earlier than expected and it is everything we expected it to be based on the description and the picture online. I will say that there are some improvements to be made. The bar where your legs rest to use the leg lift could be about 2" wider on either side so your legs don't have to rest on or over the edges (uncomfortable), there is no cap for the top of the post that the Preacher Curl pad goes into so when you have the pad out the open hole and edges are exposed and again it's right where you move your legs around a lot and it can scratch you. The only other thing about this bench is that the squat rack cannot accommodate a barbell shorter than 7' and that is vital information to know in order to be able to do bench presses and squats using this bench. The construction of the bench is very durable and the seat has nice adjustments for incline work and upright work. Overall it is a great product for the price.

Great product. The yellow adjusting knobs take a little getting used to but overall I think this is the best value for this type of bench on the market. It is a very solid bench made with precision and the powder-coat finish is much more durable than paint.

1- Easy enough for my son and I to build and put together... about an hour. 2- Sturdy and well built. 3- I love the curl platform. Excellent ergonomics and function. 4- The ability to change the bench for incline and decline is great and works well. Overall: Great Weight Bench. We give it two thumbs up and have received many compliments on our choice and the quality of this Gold's Gym product from others who have used it.

The locking pins on the rack and preacher curl pad should be the same as the curl bars. They are screwed in. The pad on the leg extensions and curls should be a little bigger and more comfortable. Overall this does everything I need it to do. Can't expect too much for the price. Get yourself dumbbells and you can get a full work out.

Excellent product, easy to put together and works well. Only gripe I might have is the fact that it needs a 7' bar as opposed to a 5' standard bar (that I purchased at the same time), and I didn't realise this until I saw the box.

I really like this bench. It feels very solid and offers plenty of varying exercises. One note, though. The description says it will accomodate standard, mid and olympic size bars, but the uprights are not adjustable in distance apart, so I ended up buying a 7' standard barbell so the collars on the bar were both on the OUTSIDE of the uprights. That is the only reason I did not give it a five star overall rating. It took some time to put together, but all the parts were there and came together just fine. Make sure to register the bench per the instructions in case any repairs/replacements are needed during the warranty period - if you don't, there is some sort of registration charge at time of repair/replacement.

I bought this bench set 3 months ago, it has been great. I use it 4-5 times a week, I have had 275 lbs on the main crutches and 205 lbs on the safety catchers - no problems. I use it for squats, bench, preacher curls (free weight), incline/decline multi positions are great. However you can not position the bench straight up to do military press and the leg ext pieces are too short. For the price it is a tremendous value, well designed (sans the two issues mentioned above) - easy to put together, 2 hours by myself and I was also watching tv. If you want a great home gym for under $170 this is the best value for you.

I love that the bench can be moved out of the way. I love that it can be used for squats (and for my short stature also pull ups and chin ups). I love that I put it together alone with three tools in less than 2 hours! However, I am VERY disappointed that the description said it could be used with various size bars. That is technically true--I can use it with my bar until I want to put more than 30 pounds on either side. At that point I either need different (thinner) weights or I need a different bar so that my weights will be outside the frame. Overall, I'm delighted I bought it and once I get my new bar I anticipate loving it even more!

This is a good product. It is very big though so be prepared to make space for it. It does not come with any weights either, those have to be purchased seperatly. But it keeps my hubby at home and not at the Gym. I can find him right in the garage. :) For the kids its fun to watch daddy work out to. I think its great.

This gym is very sturdy. Easy to put together...took me about 3.5 hrs. Using a rachet verses a wrench was a big help. Love the different exercises you can do with it. Especially the ability to move the bench for squats. The included exercise guide chart is a PLUS! It helps to know how to position yourself correctly on the bench for the workouts. I was a little leary about buying this gym, but now I'm glad I did. It's a good investment!

This bench is really good for beginners. It was kind of complicated to put together, so make sure you prepare yourself. Also remember that you have to buy an OLYMPIC BAR for this bench, any other size is too small. Overall, this was a great buy due to the price and quality of the bench.

Bench is very solid and instructions for assembly are fairly simple. Take care to use the correct screws and/or bolts where instructions indicate (many of the screws/bolts are almost identical and could get confusing if you're not paying attention to detail). A ratchet wrench is very useful for assembly but avoid overtightening the bolts. Customer service is very helpful if you get stuck. Otherwise it's a good purchase for the price and the product. Bench offers a number of excersises. Maximum weight is 300lbs for the user and 310lbs for the weight-not bad for a home gym.

This product was a good value for the dollar. It is very versitile allowing for a great workout. It did take awhile to assemble but it was time well spent. The only neg. point I would give is that when the uprights are fully extended for squats they do get a little shaky, maybe not to bad if you don't go real heavy but that would hinder big quad growth so go heavy and just cross your fingers! It was an all around good deal.

Short and sweetly put, this bench is just all around great! Great versatility, even better for those just beginning their workout regiment. Olympic-sized so you can pack the pounds onto that bar (bar not included, by the way), and there are just so many different work outs you can use this for (a workout manual is included so you never run out of ideas). I absolutely love the curling attachment which is easily removable. My only complaint was putting it together. It's not terribly difficult, but be prepared for a work out even before you get it set up!
