Could not get enough of this game...finished it in 19 hours in 2 days. Easily one of the best games I have ever played since Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil 2. I purchased the game when the price dropped to $30 and found the game to be extremely worth the buy. Would have paid $60 for the game had I have known how much fun it would be.

I actually played Resistance 2 before playing the first game. That did not negatively affect my experience. The original is a lot of fun, with easy to learn controls and a difficulty level that is challenging yet not impossible for those of us who are late in life gamers. I really enjoyed the setting, and the narrated cut scenes add a lot to the story and overall experience of the game. I highly recommend Resistance.

I have to say this is a great game. I have owned it for about a year and love it. The campaign mode is really fun and interesting. Also it has the best online mode by far. I would recommend this game to anyone that has a PS3.

I usually rent games from Gamefly, but I just bought a PS3, and decided I wanted a game to play right away. I bought this thinking from all the reviews that it was a must buy game. Ugh, it was not. It boring, easy and repetitive. The graphics are subpar, and it's actually making me think of returning my PS3, if this is one of the better titles. I already own a 360, and games like Halo 3, Mass Effect, COD4 all have far superior fluidity and graphics. I say pass on this game.

this is my second game on PS3. The first one i played is MGS4...i am a fan of racing games and not that much of shooter games...but when i saw the deal on walmart..i checked the reviews and noticed that resistance had very nice ones and decided to check it out...i am blown away.....the game is so good...its awesome....the responsiveness, the variety, graphics, sound everything is so good..i have completed the campaign mode and now i am playing the online multiplayer games and its so good...i love this game and this is a must have for shooter games..i am so impressed with this one that i have bought the resistance 2 game already and i am waiting for it eagerly..

The controls (look) are way too sensitive with this game. I've tried adjusting the sensitivity but it doesn't seem to help any. I have no problem with Rainbox Six, but this is almost unusable. I'll try again after I've finished Rainbow Six.

Since I only had this last month (Oct 2008), comparing it with my current games it kind of feels outdated. It came as part of a bundle with the PS3 I bought so I can't really complain. Resistance 2 is out which is a direct sequel to this so you might want to get that instead.

unlike alot of first person shooters where you have to duck and hide staying under cover in this game will get you killed. this gameis fast paced action shoving you right into the battle with no holding back. first time through the story mode has 8 incredible weapons and second time through you get 16 with a great story and a heavily detailed multiplayer mode. sequel is coming out soon so get the first part of the story now at a greatest hits price that makes it even more of a value.

The game is a cross between Resident Evil and Doom. It doesn't require solving puzzles but killing anything that moves. This game was very fun playing, but you can defeat it in less than twelve hours while taking your time enjoying the scenery.
