My husband and I were blessed to have the first edition of "The Strong-Willed Child" when our first child was born 30 years ago. We had 3 more children and we used the tools we learned from this book to raise them and have never looked back with any disappointment. All of our children are wonderful, loving, respectful, hard-working adults now having children of their own (one of which I bought this for) and Dr. James Dobson, with God's guidance of course, wrote this book with people like us in mind. Thank you Dr. Dobson!

This is a very helpful book if you have a strong willed child. I have a 3 year old that I have gotten so fustrated over trying to get him to mind. It has deffantly helped me to learn new ways to aproch things that my son does that i do not aprove of.

Just as good as the first time

I read this book twenty years ago with my first daughter. I bought it again to review for my last daughter. It was just as good as the first time with excellent advice and information on raising not only strong willed children but all children. I highly recommend this book.

I think a copy of this should be sent home with every parent the day they bring their little one home from the hospital. I am glad Dr. Dobson believes in disciplining children, that is the problem with todays society. This book gives a great outline on when and how to discipline your child even if he is not strong willed like my son. Great book!
