I was skeptical about the whole "Pirates of the Caribbean" series, which was a surprise for me since I am such a big Jerry Bruckheimer fan, however, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" convinced me. This was an excellent movie. The action was intense and from start to finish, (which is typical of so many Bruckheimer movies), the computer-generated graphics were off-the-chain and the story was fresh and unique. The addition of Gore Verbinski brought forth a stronger story that held fan's attention. This movie was the best of the series and for someone that didn't even purchase the series until weeks after the third installment was released, that's saying something. I would not go as far as to put it up there with great stories like the Lord of the Rings, however, this movie and series was far better than movies like the Matrix series. Go Jack Sparrow, oops, Captain Jack Sparrow.
