I was very pleased with the versatility of this tricycle... the frame can be adjusted several times for growing toddlers. The tires are not rubber, but not cheap plastic either. They are somewhere in between and that keeps them from sliding around. My son is 15 months and although he still can't reach the pedals completely, he climbs on and off it by himself and trys to scoot along. My only dislike was the back compartment... it's not very sturdy. He climbed in it once and the latch that holds it looked like it was about to pop. Of course, it wasn't made for holding a toddler... Overall it's a great trike and I can't wait for him to learn to pedal!
