I've taken one star only because I haven't had it long enough to rate its accuracy. I have compared it to the booth in the Walmart Pharmacy and it was very close. I would recommend it to a friend.

I thought that some reviews mentioned that it could be used with AC. Not true.... batteries only. Also the connections are a little fussy. Other than that, it works well and smoothly. Certainly is a good buy.

This works great, and is very accurate. No complaints. I did have to buy a larger cuff...(cos my arms to fat...duh), but that's my fault. I like to that you can plug it in...or use batteries.

I read the other reviews including Consumer Reports. It took less than a week for me to use it so I could get the same results as in my doctor's office. I learned to keep my arm at the level of my heart and to get the band snug enough. The instructions were easy to follow and it took only a few minutes to have it ready to use. A good buy!

This is my first auto inflating blood pressure monitor. I was afraid it would inflate too tightly around the arm, however it does a great job of not inflating too tightly. It has good accuracy and is easy to set up and takes a reading quickly. Purchase this product with confidence.

Not Accurate!

I purchased this based on the mostly great reviews. My doc thinks I have White Coat Hypertension. When ever I go to my doc my BP goes way up, so the doc wanted me to check my BP at home. I compared this monitor to a manuel blood pressure monitor. This one was 10 to 15+ points off. While the manual was mostly 110/70's, this one displayed 100/62, 96/60. Totally off! I tried it for 3 days but had to return it due to inaccuracy.

Consumer Reports gives this a great rating, and I wholeheartedly agree. Price is half that of similar products, but this one does a super job. It appears to be made for Reli-On by Omron, the highly rated maker of a higher priced product! Can't go wrong with this!

I've only owned this product for approx 1 month, so I'm don't feel qulaified to speak of its reliabilty. Nevertheless, I've been using this almost daily after puchasing it and found these positive attributes:
- Easy to set up out of the box
- Instrcutions/manual are extremely intuitive & well written
- The unit runs off of 4 AA batteries (no fuss looking for an AC outlet)
- Quality made components
- It is very simple to use
- Large digital readout of BP readings means you don't have to squint to see the results
- The artery marker for correct cuff placement reduces the chances of receiving false readings
- Easy to set up out of the box
- Instrcutions/manual are extremely intuitive & well written
- The unit runs off of 4 AA batteries (no fuss looking for an AC outlet)
- Quality made components
- It is very simple to use
- Large digital readout of BP readings means you don't have to squint to see the results
- The artery marker for correct cuff placement reduces the chances of receiving false readings
The feature I like the most is the date & time memory. The monitor automatically stores up to 30 sets of measurement values for 2 seaparate users (user A and user B). When 30 readings are stored, the oldest record is automatically deleted to save the most recent test results.
It has a handy "average" feature that calculates the average reading based on up to the 3 most recent readings taken within 10 minutes of the most recent test result.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality & performance of this product. There are less expensive units out there for sale, but this one had the features I was looking for and can be easily toted anywhere I want to go with it.

This unit seems to work well. I took it to my doc's office, to check how it compared to a reading from their equipment. The reading was very close, despite a change in position and a few minutes between the readings, so I think it's accurate enough. My only complaint is that the cuff is a little big for a small (short) upper arm. The circumference is fine, but the length(?) makes for a tight fit between my shoulder and my elbow. (Haven't called the company to see if they make a smaller cuff in this dimension.)

The description specifically noted there is an AC adapter included. This is not true. Disapointed and returned the item. ReliOn Auto Inflate digital blood pressure monitor #HEM-8705-WM. Previously purchased the same item from Walmart, liked it very much, and that one did include a AC adapter.
