This wireless router is inexpenisve, works well, and easy to install. I do highly recommend this to any one looking for an inexpensive wireless internet connectivity. Great use if you have Ipod Touch, which has wi-fi reciver built in, or you can just use it for your PC or laptop. The range with this wireless router is good if you just want it to be in and a little outside of your house. My house is 3,526 square feet an reaches 50 feet outside the house. So it does its job an then some! Overall it is a fantastic product.

this is a good product.cheap and easy to set-up. Most all of DLink's products are good. Yes, there may be some defective ones as with any other product and also, most all tech support is off shore now, not just DLink.

For the price the router is not bad if you don't need the coverage for a big or long area it works great. Had some problems installing at first & unfortunaltely the tech dept is either not reachable, your call disconnects often or you just get a tech who does not know there job at all & gives wrong information to you is just not good. Have had it about 3 weeks or so & still have some issues am trying to resolve & if it can't be resolved I think I just might return it.

I've owned at least a dozen routers over the years for various home and office needs. This D-Link router is, by far, the worst router that I have ever purchased.
It's cheap, but the firmware is horrible. It constantly goes dead and requires reboots. It requires constant resetting (several times a day) to function properly at an acceptable speed-- half of the time you replug it in, it won't function.
I've used computers and set up networks since the 1980s, and this device is not worth a penny. I've managed to "set it up" numerous times, but it still requires constant rebooting and additional setups. I have a Master's in Computer Science, with a second in Engineering-- I am fully able to set up any network device, build a computer, etc. But, this item purely does not function properly for decent amount of time without additional maintaining. I've been able to get computers to attach to it, both wired and wireless, over a variety of home and office ISPs-- but the connection settings do not "hold" or function consistently.
Save your money, and invest in a decent item that is not a headache to maintain in order for it to function properly.

To start off, I bought this product because I got a new laptop from work, and I needed wireless internet. Set Up was quite easy and my laptop picked up the signal. But it wouldn't finish the connection. Just when I was deciding to return it, I connected it just for one time. And it WORKED!!!, problem is the signal isn't locked and secure. I would recommend this prduct but it takes some time and patience

I got this so I could setup a basic home network and share my internet with my laptop. I have not checked out the range if the neighbors can pick it up but it covers my house so I just installed network magic on the laptop and locked the network. I made sure to also get my son's DS connteced before locking because he wanted to use the wifi in some of the games. I don't leave my power plugged in unless I am using it because I heard people fussing about the power. I have had it on for most the day and it gets warm but I have not had any problems about it dropping my desktop.

Bought the cheaper Belkin router from Walmart previously. I had nothing but issues with it. Exchanged it several times at the store. Decided to just buy a different brand and bought this one. Have had for almost a month now. Must say it has been great. No problems what so ever. Installed in like 5 minutes on both PC and 2 notebook computers. Awesome!

A good buy at the price. The Wi-Fi range isn't what I'd hoped for but it's acceptable -- probably all that can be expected from 802.11g. If range is important to you and you can afford it buy an 802.11n router instead -- I'll upgrade when I can afford to.

Very easy to install using CD provided. Works fantastic, great range. This is the only wireless router that I found that right out of the box will install and work perfectly with the Verizon DSL using the standard Verizon DSL modem Westell Model 6100 that is the standard DSL modem that Verizon provides.
