We travel extensively in our motorhome and need to save space & energy. This Space Heater is so useful, can be picked up (by a back-lip handle), placed almost anywhere inside the RV, is unbelievably quiet (unlike the two electric heat pumps on top our roof or the gas furnace heater) and, according to 2 other couples we know, is energy-efficient and will save us on electric expenses. We plan to test this cost-savings theory next Winter season when we spend 6-months at an RV Park that charges 10 cents per kwh. We'll compare our monthly electric bill from last winter - I'm convinced we'll be even more pleased than we are so far.

I bought this heater in the fall to heat an small office. It worked well and was quiet at first. I used the heater about 15 hours per week for 2 to 3 months. One day it stopped heating. The light was on but it produced no heat. I have tried a number of heaters and have become frustrated with the quality of heaters on the market. Very disappointed.

I tried about 5 heaters for low-noise until I get this one. It heats pretty fast too. The only issue is that you can't trust the temporature control. But this is the issue many heaters have.

I BOUGHT THIS HEATER BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS. IT IS WORTH THE PRICE, AND WORTH THE PURCHASE. I JUST BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE THIS YEAR OF 08. A FRIEND OF MINE BOUGHT TWO THE OTHER DAY. SHE LOVES THEM. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Not a Good Heater,

I purchased this heater for my office which is very cold. When I first starting using it, I was quite satisfied. It heated the office quickly and was "whisper" quite. However, after about 2 months of use, the fan now makes a tremendous amount of noise - so much so I can barely tolerate turning it on. I will be purchasing a different brand as soon as possible. The price was reasonable but the heater is not worth the price I paid and now I must toss it and get another one.

Worth the money,

The heater is quiet, small and powerful. The temperature control is so-called "one-button" control. You can only adjust temperate in 5 degree intervals, i.e., you can only set the temperate to 60, 65, 70, 75 or 80 degrees. When the heater senses the temperate drops to a temperate lower than the desired temperature, the heater starts working. When it hits a temperate above the desired temperature, it stops working. You can not adjust the temperature interval in which the heater actually works. If you do not like this feature, then this heater is not for you. This feature is fine to me. The downside to me is that the setting can not be saved. For example, if you set the temperature to 65. When you unplug the power cable, you'll have to reset it. This is annoying to me. Overall, the heater is worth the money.

First, I got a dish heater, it was nice but it didnt heat up a room, just where ever you pointed it so I ended up taking it back. Next, I bought this heater. I couldn't feel the heat unless I was two feet away from it and it too didn't heat up the room. So I took it back. Then I got the Lasko Designer Series Oscillating Ceramic Heater at about the same price and now I swear by Lasko. I have a 1500sqft house and it heats up the living room, kitchen, dining room, bathroom and hallway when I shut the three bedrooms off. The temp goes up by ten degrees at least. At night I put it in my bedroom and it keeps my bedroom and bathroom nice and toasty! Its practically silent too. So, don't buy the Holmes Whisper Quiet Twin Ceramic Heater if you want to stay warm tonight.

Product is quiet with fans. Cheaply made so it was making more noise due to fans hitting something inside. Not worth sending in for warranty, just opened it up and tried to fix it. It was because a piece of plastic burr was getting in the rotation of the fan.
Also, unit will sometimes overheat and shut off - you won't know until you wake up in the cold.
One-button control means you can't hook it up to an electrical timer to auto turn on/off at certain times.

I bought this heater along with different heaters to compare how well each performed. My main reason of choosing this one is the safety features, design, price, and the 5 year warranty.
The Good: This heater is VERY silent. You could barely notice the fan running. Its twin ceramic heater warms up the room quickly. The heat blows at an angle 30-45 degrees upward. Small and compact.
The Bad: When setting at the desired temperature like 70 degrees (I tried only at 65 and 70 degrees), automatic shutdown doesn't work and i had to get up in the night to turnoff the heater because the room was too hot. I had a thermometer in the room and it was reading at 80 degrees. At 65 degrees, it was too cold for me.
That's why I end up returning this product. I wanted a heater that shuts down at a temperature i want to save my electric bills.
Improvements: More accurate automatic temperature shut off. Temperature intervals are too far apart between 65-70 degrees. Should have an option to select temperatures in between like 67 or something, Makes a lot of difference.

This heater is great. It really is whisper quiet like it says-and that was worth the money all together. It heats up the room quickly and I like that there is a thermostat. It also looks nice too-it doesn't stick out too much like others do. It has the new smell for a little while, but after the first day, it didn't smell anymore. I'd highly recommend it.

I use ceramic heaters to heat up a few rooms in my home. I already owned two Pelonis heaters and wanted another. Could not find a Pelonis so purchased this heater. No thermostate control like advertised. Has 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 degree settings and they are not accurate. Also has a continous low and high heat setting. The heater's oscilltaing feature broke after one month of use. Cord is cheaper than my other two heaters and gets warm to the touch when my other heaters do not. Totally disappointed with this unit. Bought a Honeywell after using this Holmes for a month. The Honeywell Digital Heater has worked great for a ceramic heater. Go look at it and read reviews.
