This program teaches some ASL signs and some signs developed by parents. We were looking for a product that teaches standard ASL, so we have decided to return this and purchase "Sign With Your Baby" instead.
The kit includes 2 DVDs, beautiful board books and a reference flipbook. I was really disappointed that this wasn't exactly what we were looking for because it really is a good value.
I would recommend this product to someone who is looking for modified ASL to learn with their child. However, if you are looking for standard ASL, this is not the product you want.

I bought this product for my Daughter and her 1 month old baby boy. She is interested in potty training him early and has found a way to do it through sign language. This starter kit was the perfect answer. It has met all her expectations and more, because it also included 4 books, and a DVD that teaches 6 starter signs to babies (That's one is perfect for me, Grandma).
I recommend this Baby Sign Starter Kit to anyone interested in the more up-to-date methods of child care.
