After playing the NFS: Carbon on PS2, I went out and purchased the PSP Version, expecting a similar product.
Boy was I wrong! The graphics are not anything to get excited about. The cars are sometimes difficult to control. And the plot, rather than cutscenes with actual action and short movie clips, there are just pictures and words in the background. Frankly, I was quite disappointed.
The Cop Chases are aweful. No pursuit breakers or cooldown spots like in many of the NFS games before. I found it pointless even to get into a pursuit. It wasnt required to beat the game, and wasnt worth the time.
One other thing to note. If you have played NFS: Most Wanted (I know its true for the PS2 version, not sure about others), the game map is the same! The only thing that is different is the graphics. The streets are all the same, in the same spots. I found this quite humorous that they didnt even put the effort into changing the streets!
Overall, if the game is on sale, I would buy it. I bought it when it was relatively new, paid a high price for it, and it was definately not worth it. There's no Online mode like some might expect, so dont be looking for it. I have stopped playing it for some time now, and am going to sell the game.
